It is so brave of the Hines family to speak out like this. They are pillars of the community and an inspiration to all of us.
I am 100% behind them and 100% behind Jerry.
I know the Hines family. Way above average citizens.

The Hines boys have been serving Belmar for decades .You probably should have found a different family to mess with!!
Did anyone report this at the time? We won’t know the truth about any of these allegations on either side until people testify under oath in court.
I have a lot of issues with this “commercial”.
1- What happened to Colton was wrong.
2- The mayor and council dealt with it swiftly and Campbell is now gone.
3- The Hines have stated they have hired an attorney. I presume to launch a lawsuit.
4- I bet the Hines wouldn’t know Jerry Buttafuosco from Joey Buttafuosco a week ago.
5- Is the title of Emergency Medical Director a Boro issued title or a self made up title? Or are you just a member of the Belmar First Aid Volunteer Squad?
6- It saddens me that you feel the need to exploit your wonderful son Colton for political gain. This is not a political issue but you have now made it one for no reason.
7- Yes Me. Hines you have served the community well as a volunteer first aid man which was your choice. Thank you
8- But don’t you live in Neptune and aren’t even a resident who votes on Belmar?

I’m sorry this happened to your son. I always thought Belmar did a lot for special needs children. I think any candidate if they should win, would sit down and talk about changes that could be made to make things even better. It does appear this unfortunate incident, and maybe the parents, are being used for politics. I hate politics these days!
They’re grown ups. They can campaign for anyone they chose. They see something in Jerry that they didn’t see in the other two candidates. Is that political? Well yea, but it’s an election year. #7- Mike Campbell has been a political issue for years. There is no way to avoid making his bad behavior and eventual ‘retirement’ political.
I heard Campbell took a hissy fit the other day when he went into a local business and they told him to put a mask on. I guess they didn’t know who he was! Lol
#10 – they knew who he was, just weren’t given him special treatment
Mr. and Mrs. Hines don’t live in Belmar. Why are they taking a political stance on Belmar politics?
#12 and others asking questions, if you truly are in a quandary, and scratching your head for an answer, or even are concerned about outlandish accusations about Colton, I know the Hines’ to be open and honest people. I’m pretty sure their lives are an open book, and would welcome any questions you have. Both are easily accessible.
Who really cares what the Hines think.
Jerry when you win the council seat on November 3rd you better have your high blood pressure medicine ready. You are going to be the odd man out with this corrupt crew. We appreciate your interest in sincerely trying to help the citizens of Belmar. We appreciate you going head on with the mayor and council at meetings to uncover the lies, corruption and financial errors set before us. Stay healthy, stay strong, stay sincere and stay diligent.

#14 you clearly care what they think, otherwise you wouldn’t be on this site. It’s entire purpose is to showcase what other people think. You may not LIKE what they think, but you care. It’s human nature.
A plea for the future of Belmar…..My wife and I moved to Belmar permanently in January 2011, and have attended Belmar Council meetings on a regular basis….if all of our Common Sense For Belmar members attended the Council meetings you would all be voting for Jerry Buccafusco for Council. Jerry has consistently examined financial and legal issues that arise frequently and questioned the Belmar Council on its reasoning. While I appreciate the time and effort that Tom Brennan has put forth, it is time for a change. Jerry will let the citizens of Belmar know what is going on and be a voice for the betterment of Belmar. It should not matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican, we need to vote for someone who can make a difference, and that person is Jerry.
FYI, I am a registered Democrat but always vote for the person I feel will do the best job regardless of party affiliation (I voted for Walsifer for Mayor, and McCracken for Council, and previously voted for Doherty and Brennan)….please do the same and just vote for Jerry….this is our chance to help make a difference. But your vote is needed, or this will not happen…just vote for Jerry… please. Thank you all…
I would really like to know Jerry Buccafusco’s thoughts on Frank Cinelli. He’s a way above average waste of tax payers money and does nothing all day. It’s so bad he has a big TV and cable in his office. Why does he need that if he’s always at home anyway. Must be way above average friends with someone.
