OMG! Do Cheri & Maggie have any independent thoughts at all? Who could possibly be their script writer? Still not one concrete proposal/idea. No wonder they refused to attend a candidate forum.
Perhaps the writer confused which candidate made the comments
I’ve done these for the Star when I was a candidate. You do not get interviewed. They email the questions and you reply to them by email.

Anyone that plans to vote for these two, please, please, please reconsider.

Essentially the same response for pedestrian safety also. That is embarrassing.
#4 Yes – whoever is considering voting for them, please ask yourself this: Are they getting my vote because of their experience, strong leadership skills, accessibility, autonomous thinking, tangible ideas for solving our budget woes & other issues, OR are they getting my vote because they are Democrats? If you are voting based on political party only – you are doing yourself & your fellow citizens a huge disservice. Please give your votes the serious consideration they deserve.
Mr. Bean comes out on top yet again.

The Dems are a joke. And I’m starting to see some McBride/Russo signs around town. Can anyone who is planning on voting for them provide a good reason why you are doing so? They cant seem to form their own coherent thoughts but maybe you can defend them….
How strange Maggie and Cheryl copy each others responses. They have proven that they are incapable of having independent thoughts. How on earth can one serve without the other?Poor choices to serve our town in a time of need. It’s no wonder they choose not to debate or speak in a large group to the voters . They just Can’t. WOW so sad.
Stop riding your bikes on the sidewalk, it’s in the ordinance. You’re not 2 years old. I wish the cops would start enforcing it, especially on Main Street.

I’m glad the Coast Star printed the individual candidate responses to questions
#14 – Yeah – it sure is an eye opener! If the women get elected, who is going to sit behind them at council meetings and feed them their lines?
#12 – Sir/Madam, I’m with you for the most part but that idea won’t work anymore. The combination of the inability of drivers not to hit the bike riders and the inability of the bike riders not to be hit makes the idea stillborn. There’s no going back. People’s abilities to deal with situations in the physical world/outdoors will not allow it (new manner of living). That’s why the car manufacturers are trying like crazy to build a “car” that people won’t actually drive, that they’ll just be inactive passengers in (like a bus,train,plane,etc.). Lastly, even the summer police bike patrol ride their bikes on the sidewalk on Main St.
Can’t disagree with you sir, but, as a pedestrian, I am tired of getting hit by bikes on the sidewalk. Especially the electric bikes that barely make a sound.
