Does it ever end with Lawless Matt ?
Gee …. the regime went all the way to Bergen County to find a attorney to tell them what they wanted to hear!
Someone …. please tell Mr. Rivera that Belmar is not a Township.
Matt will keep wasting our money. Things like this will only end when he is relieved of his job as mayor.
Stall, stall, stall till after the elections. Did anyone expect the mayor not to go down swinging, doing the (dis)honorable thing by challenging? He must save face above all and appear fearless and flawless to his council and followers.
Seems there’s always a liar/lawyer to take the case.
When did the Council approve a publicized resolution to challenge Judge Gummer’s decision on her PAY TO PLAY verdict against Belmar?
Can We evict him like a bad tenant?
#6, the council didn’t because nobody on the council has a backbone to question Lawless Matt. HE made the decision to change Belmar’s pay to play ordinance to benefit himself. HE made the decision to go to court. HE made the decision to appeal his loss. And WE, the taxpayers, will be stuck with the bill. Great job Lawless !
I’d presume that a lawyer who gets paid only if he/she wins would stay clear of Belmar’s lawsuits, like the personal injury guys who advertise on TV. (Oh yeah, we can win that, we bill by the hour, by the way.)
