Too big, too ugly. There goes all the parking. Plus they are going to block(bollard) the short cut from 10th Avenue.

#2 Djais already has a larger location. You can pretty much guarantee that by moving the shipping containers to the south and building the 10 foot high fences extending to both the south and east that this will become their new illegally enlarged footprint from this point forward. Don’t hold your breath that the town will make them go back to their pre-Covid footprint. Frank will whine just like after Sandy that his business was impacted and he needs more room and a higher occupancy capacity to make up for lost business.

#2 Sachem Pond is short for Matrix Development Group. Huge developer that does a lot of warehousing near highways. Ownership of Sachem listed in planning board application on Belmar site is as follows:
33.3% Alec Taylor (COO of Matrix)
11.1% Joseph Taylor (Alec’s father, CEO and President of Matrix)
12.5% Kenneth Griffin (VP at Matrix)
13.9% William Stapleton (VP at Matrix)
12.5% Gary Hans (VP at Matrix)
    11.1% James Frawley
5.6% undisclosed (less than 10% doesn’t have to be disclosed on the application)

Is this the same Matrix group that was given the opportunity by or leaders to put forth plans to build our new police HQ and new town hall??? Wow, they sure are busy. Did they ever get back to us on whether they will submit a proposal on that project or did we give them another 6 months to work on those land owners?

Tell me why do we have to have a planning board. Any project that is going to be built is already a done deal. Residents have petitions, come out in groves give their opinions and it falls on deaf ears. There is no concern about the residents. The concern is about the builders making money and more money. Belmar instead of being a beautiful resort as it use to be is know becoming like the slums of NY. The boardwalk was a place to go and admire the ocean, now it is bicycle row. Put the damn racks back and the benches back. People are sitting all over the edges and throwing garbage onto the dunes. Mayor Walsifer, don’t you see where our town is going?

#5 That quaint Hotel on 12th for your information is starting to look a hell of a lot better than the rentals on 12th Ave. Kudos to the new manager who is doing a great job in maintaining respectable people.
There has not been any police problems there. More police problems with the rentals with 50 to 100 in one week end in back yards and front porches drinking beer on the side walk and smoking pot. Which is also going on at the beach. Worst summer ever.
At 10 PM every night the porch at the Quaint Hotel is shut down. Complete silence.
