Apparently the Dems think we’ve all, at this point, been conditioned to vote no on everything.
BTW, this was paid for by the Monmouth County Democratic Committee. In order to comply with Belmar’s campaign finance law I think the Brian and Janis campaign is going to need to reimburse them.

And so the mudslinging begins. What’s next, a mailer touting how the current council people lost so many lawsuits in the name of protecting the residents of Belmar? Send them packing.
Does that mean the dems are ok with Josh ? Send the incumbents packing- they are puppets for Lawless Matt, don’t have an independent thought and quite frankly, bring nothing to the table. This garbage tries to get you to believe that Mark Walsifer single handidly raised taxes. Duh ! I have a bigger problem with a zero % municipal tax increase since Doherty took over. We’re screwed.
Yes, mud must be slung. War is hell, right General Doherty? The Republican candidates must shred their opponents, such nice people who know what is best for Belmar and who care so much about the residents and answer all their phone calls and emails with compassionate and factual responses. (Except for wasting tax money on frivolousness and advancing the political career of one man.)
When Claire was on the Board of Ed, did she vote down the increases?
Brian, if this is how you are going to campaign, I would rather vote for the unknown Josh. Please do not go to Doherty’s level.
So the Democrats loved and pushed 23 cent gas tax, and they would have us believe that raising school tax was a Marc Wolfisor ploy? Please. Where is their sense of fairness, understanding of the hispanic community we have here in Belmar? The education of our children as a fair American right. Everyone knows that the state regulates what happens in our schools. Hope they remember that when they negotiate all those redevelopment deals coming our way. Like I said before. Hypocrites.
Oh yeah, and of course don’t forget fair and equal pay for teachers and staffing
Right Mr Brennan?
Do these people attend the board of ed meetings? I am not supporting the mailer- my point is if they are unhappy about the increases do they voice the concerns with Board? Unless people attend the meetings and speak up they have no right to sling mud!
At the very least BOE in Belmar members entertain and answers all at public meetings.
Boy, from the tenor of the most recent flyer, Mark must be a BIG threat to the upper echelon in and about Belmar. They know that given the chance Mark will give his all for Belmar. He clearly is not owned by anyone.
#10. Most importantly the BOE they keep their meeting dates and times. Mark was one of only a few Republicans to be elected to the BOE. Therefore the majority-registered Dems voted in by majority the increases anywhere.
Really? Pathetic that the Democrats choose to waste their money trying to discredit Mark over total BS, Is that the BEST you can do? Apparently there are no real, credible or positive things to say about McGovernless or Blackie. When people start to realize that fact, these types of propaganda will backfire. Wake up people of Belmar. Matt and his crew are basically calling you STUPID. Vote them out. one by one, two by two.
In the past the school budgets have been turned down and the Mayor ignored the vote and passed the school budget
Which he can do because of the form of government strong mayor weak council.
Now did Mark raise the school taxes on his own NO the whole board did it. Will he make a good council man considering
the number of years he has lived in the town the father and husband that he is
And his family first attitude.
Will he make a good council man? Yes.But sometimes they need help hence
Mark & Josh who will work together to
Clean up this town. I forgot to mention that he was on the police force in Belmar his adult life. He knows the law
And that helps,he knows what can or cannot be applied. Think people do we want more of what is happening now? I
hope not. Vote for Mark and Josh.
#14 – Tulip – Let me talk off topic a bit. BES is operating as a school only in the loosest of terms. The children of the illegal aliens who represent 60+% of the student body aren’t up to any real learning and the few students who are up to learning useful instruction are not being given it. The entire concept of brick and mortar schooling is outdated and to continue this charade year after year as we’re doing is a total disgrace and nothing less that outright theft and waste of the taxpayers money. The BOE for the most part and the school staff are woefully inexperienced people. There are a few of the BOE and staff who know this but understand they have no power to help the situation. So they remain silent.
The Monmouth County Democrats and Brian and Janice are working out of the same office. Brian and Janice will say they had nothing to do with it. They probably did though. Brian, you bitched about a convicted criminal being on a referendum flyer. How do you feel about a dedicated, retired police sergeant being on one ? Guess you’ll have nothing to say. Next the Monmouth County Dems will be blaming Mark for Belmar’s crazy debt, the ugly pavilions, the lost lawsuits and whatever else they could come up with. Pretty pathetic and somewhat comical.
The party is so afraid because they know Mark and Josh have bipartisan support throughout the community.
Notice the signs or lack thereof? Without mcdirty’s ballyhoo it’s almost like you have a big secret.
In Belmar this election is not about Democrats or Republicans. It is unfortunate that the present Mayor and Council are all Democrats, and refuse to show fiduciary responsibility, honesty, and integrity, to the residents. As a result of this shameful behavior hopefully will elect 2 new people that should slow and maybe end this mismanagement of Belmar.
Sorry but numbers dont lie, people do….. Failure, Mayor and council 48 million in debt….. Failure, BOE very low test scores in our public school system…..
The issues not discussed at council meetings will decide the Belmar 11/08/16 Election.
