What happens if there is beach sand intrusion in the sewer line before a resident’s curb? Who cleans the sand out of the line, the resident or the Beach sand Berm erector?
Did adults write this manual and did we actually pay for this ?
Looks like it was prepared January, 2019.
the O&M Manual is dated March 2019 … it appears that Avakian Engineers farmed the work to H2M Associates … both reputable local engineering firms.
the map correctly located the sanitary sewer pipe and manhole in front of my corner property.
it seems to me these engineers did more work in 3 months than Maser did in 8 years.
Although mostly boilerplate, I’m OK with the O&M Manual if the NJDEP finds it acceptable.
Eugene #4, shouldn’t this type of manual give guidance and directions that are set in stone and if so, why does it say on page one in the second paragraph, “the procedures RECOMMENDED in this manual” ? Recommended procedures would obviously just be recommendations. Can you explain ?
#5 … consultants recommend things for a living … I like … “It is recommended that all operating personnel read the entire manual so that they become familiar of the details…”
NJDEP will edit the manual for a target audience.
