A much greater concern should be the lack of acknowledgement by County Health Officials regarding a West Nile virus epidemic in our immediate area. I know of two very recent cases, Spring Lake and Brielle, where persons have contracted encephalitis due to West Nile. People, start asking questions and wear repellant. I suspect Officials are waiting until after prime time summer visitors have spent their money here and will announce something after Labor Day.

WEST NILE VIRUS warnings definitely seen on this blog after the first weekend in the beginning of summer regarding standing water at seasonal rental properties neglected by “landlord” in violation of board of health regulations and code enforcement in general.

Empty any form of receptacle that is capable of holding a as little as a teaspoon or bottle cap amount of water, liquid. Be Proactive not reactive people.
