I am writing my e-mails now and making calls first thing on Tuesday morning to oppose.
ADMIN – can you please confirm…doesn’t Djais now own 2 seasonal licenses? The one they have in operation now and a second they picked up a few months back from 10th Ave Burrito in a trade? I think La Dolce Vita now has a year round license as well? Remember reading this on the blog a few months back
Correct on all counts. Barry DiPeppe is holding LaDolce Vita’s old seasonal license in pocket.
So does a pocket licensees get any benefit from the Senate and Assembly sweetheart deals nw or when their licenses are activated?
Say hello to your legislators Inlet Terrace and beautiful, desirable north end dwellers.
“Pubic Safety Committee”

I despise “Safety.”
Whose Public Safety will be protected after all this wrangling? Seems that resident public safety should be most prominent not the Wranglers Pensions. BENEFITS?
If Djais wins this 60 day extension based on greasing all the north jersey political palms…..what do you think their plans are for the SECOND SEASONAL LICENSE? The value of the second seasonal license they hold in pocket why increase immensely. My guess is either the Taylor Pavilion or the big building on Ocean Ave in the North End next to 7-11 where that place Playa Bowls is. It used to be a big gym. Anyone know or hear what they will do with it?
NORTH ENDERS – BEWARE. DJAIS NORTH MAY BE COMING YOU WAY!
Ask Bill Mckim not Robert Eliseo.
1. A commercial liquor license can not be used on public property, only a town issued vendor license can be used on public property. That’s the state law.
I will strongly oppose and organize against any attempt to put another liquor license on Ocean Ave.We don’t need it, it does not benefit residents. Residents first, it is our town. Feel free to reach out to me.
They could sell it to one of the many places downtown.
Our man in the sky has spoken with the case law behind him. Let’s hope Mcdirty’s plan doesn’t do the magnanimous gesture of allowing another liquor license on the east side or west sides of Ocean Avenue.
Red Alert sounded over weekend! Do you know if Belmar has any areas of poor drainage? Star Ledger sited complications of added to coastal flooding. If so,avoid those chronically clogged sewers and drains in areas all over the borough because FLOOD HAZARDS are MAGNIFIED by poor drainage. GET RAKES AND CLEAN OUT LANSCAPERS LEAF BLOWING WASTE from Belmar drains. The council won’t do anything to stop the dirty atmospheric fouling of our lands and air.
Next thing you know our insurance ratings will increase due to poor drainage from clogged sewers = flooding
Belmar Southenders, get some sandbags. Maybe public works has some? Sorry you don’t have that promised drainage pipe yet. (First things first, like the 5th Avenue Pavilion.)
#9 – Mr. Mckim. Thanks for your well informed response. Good to know.
However, hard to imagine that Mr. Luddeke & Sementa would put DJ’s second seasonal license in place downtown. Too much competition from Bar A. DJ’s sweet spot market is drunks stumbling from the rental houses, to boardwalk to the beach. Kind of like Klein’s – he thought instead of having all of the people waiting outside to get in…he would open Kleins Express to get them from walking away due to wait. I think DJ’s is looking for the same thing just down Ocean Ave more on the north side…so people have an alternative vs. waiting on line. I’ll bet they are considering more “upscale” environment with expensive bottle service etc. just like they try to create with Djais events down in Atlantic City. Cater more to 25 year olds with more $ vs. 21 year olds with tap beer. Plus outdoor section with couches to hang out
Overflow like the Keynote picking up the Sea Girt Inn Jimmy Byrnes crowd? Not.
14 – what do you thing this 1978? The year is 2017 and this is Belmar baby! Djais owns the town
