About how nice the town’s Christmas lights look, or about how quickly they plowed the snow or cleaned up after St. Patrick’s Day. I’m sure you all find that very interesting and you can go to their Facebook pages or whatever and read all about it. But here at Common Sense For Belmar I will continue (at least for now) to provide my readers with the rest of the story.
To be covered in the coming months:
The marina saga which has gone from bait shop:
To bait:
And switch:
I’ll also be watching any attempt to bring back the “Responsible Bidder” ordinance and how the still unsatisfied requirement for a referendum on it will play into it.
There is also the fact that the mayor refused to state for the record that he would oppose any zoning change on Ocean Ave. that would loosen the restriction on alcohol sales. Any developments on that will be reported here.
I will also report any development on Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon’s attempt to end the kind of abuse of messenger ballots that I and others believe changed the outcome of November’s council race in Belmar.
Lastly, there is XXXXXXXX!!, which I’m waiting for documentation of before I can tell you about it.
Happy 2015!

I would think it would be. Who is donating the food?
