…At a waffle joint?
In this morning’s inbox:
Waffle place had loud music and sidewalks were blocked. There was a DJ spinning music and 2 entertainers.
Awfully loud for a Sunday afternoon and the blocked sidewalk meant walking in street to leave 7-11
Love your site, very informative
Thanks for the submission, “F”. One thing I’ve noticed is that at some of these places with sidewalk dining the wait staff spend a lot of time on the sidewalks and even use them to walk around with big trays of food they are delivering to tables. Sidewalk walkers often have to move to the curb to avoid brushing into them.

Drove past these eating establishments at 5pm Sunday evening. Couldn’t believe the litter and garbage on the grounds from the patrons. These establishments need to hire someone to consistently pick up the refuse. Reminds me of when Angelo had his place on 12th and Ocean. Nobody picked up the trash and we had the pizza plates and napkins all the way down the street.
Not a nice site when you are driving past.
Slowly this carnival like atmosphere is becoming the norm all around town.
There was also a live band outside of Sweet on 10th Avenue yesterday around 5:30ish. I thought that was odd. Pretty loud also.
Yep! …. the waffle joint has a better sound system than the municipal court room
Eugene, you hit the nail right on the head. As far as I can see visitors come first and the residents have to suck it all up. I always looked for the summer to come because is brought life to the town but now it is becoming a Zoo.(oops the animals are kept in a cage ours are set free.}
Shame cause I doubt Mark Walsifer will do anything about this either.
#6 And you have this information from a source that thinks they know what is
going on in this town? Why are you not questioning the people that sit up on the dais they are the ones running this town. I am sure they will want to answer your questions as long as you do not talk beyond 5 minutes. I think you should know there would be no reason for Mark to be involved with this problem at this point and when he is elected he will do what he has to do.
#7 – I beg to differ with you, but a candidate for office should give an opinion on the recent upsurge of outdoor amplified music around town. At that, the candidate should give an opinion on a lot of topics at this point or it will all be the typical popularity contest that earns a seat on the council.
Seaside Tony, when in doubt don’t give any opinions.
YO YO YO – Belmar “B” gettin more SICKKK each SUMMA!!! Baybay
we have not heard anything from candidates, why should we vote for them?
#11-Maybe because most candidates don’t
Politicize every move for a year before the election like some candidates do. Maybe the have a schedule and when they are ready to start whether it is fund raising or door to door, coffees or whatever it is their option. Instead of knocking them why don’t you open your door when they knock and invite them in
for a chat.
What’s so offensive to ask why we should vote for a candidate? That should be the question on every vote. The candidates should be making a presence already.
Successful poker players don’t showboat.
Perhaps the new candidates are standing by, watching the shenanigans of both Blackie and Governless. I personally decided months ago that these two need to be removed from Office ASAP. I pray that our two newcomers will actually stand up to McDirty and have a voice. Vote them out, one by one, two by two. The games being played by our present mayor and council teeter on the verge of criminality.
