I love the look on the guy’s face to his right. That is the classic, “howthehelldidthisguygetthisjob?” look.
Still following Matt’s moves? Shouldn’t that be done with? Aren’t you busy getting ready to move? And you can’t let go.
#3 Matt may be gone to his political hack job in AC, but his legacy of divisiveness and unpaid bonds, not to mention overdevelopment and numerous bars, will strap the taxpayers and residents of Belmar for years to come.
#4-So how does continuing to track Matt make things right? Trying to prove what? That you and others weren’t happy with his time as mayor? That he made mistakes? I think it strange that his activities are still being followed. Seems odd. What joy is being derived from this? Bloggers have made it obvious over time of their disapproval of the former mayor. What good is a broken record?

#8-People still talk about Hitler and Stalin? Really? Talking about them and tailing them are two very different things. Seeking videos of Matt seems obsessive. This goes along with taking photos of Matt’s car in his driveway. Without knowledge of why His car was in the driveway, the matter became a topic for criticism. It was thought that he should have been at a meeting, so the car shouldn’t have been in the driveway . All I can say is Get A Life!

I think we should be more concerned with the fact that the Queen of Mean will soon be the new CFO for the Boro. Now that’s something to talk about!
Just a thought- why not utilize a part of the blog in a positive fashion, constructive criticism and solutions, discussions about potential resolutions to problems that exist in our lovely community. Complaining and blaming solve nothing. Instead of wasting effort on all this hate why not work together in a positive manner. If your not part of the solution your part of the problem. Why not be part of the solution?
#17 Without going into all the details, getting rid of Colleen Connolly will be the first step in resolving a lot of this towns problems.

Colleen would have tenure if she became CFO. Robin Kirk is leaving soon and they’ll need to fill her place. Robin did Colleen’s job before Colleen was hired. Matt would have fired Robin (in order to hire his wife’s friend)but couldn’t because Robin has tenure. Instead, he made two jobs from one. Now we pay two salaries. Don’t let Colleen become CFO!!!!!!!
#19 Tenure, dont you have to be in a certain position for a period of time to have “tenure”? Also, dont you have to advertise for the position and take a test?
If this happens it will be just another inside scam job to screw everyone in this town.

#17-I so agree with your remarks! People use this blog to moan and groan. Despite these negative remarks, good things happen in this town. Never are they cited on this blog. I didn’t know that Matt has been followed at his job and at his home until I read the above. This is a bad practice. It’s like, we still have to follow him to constantly remind or convince residents that he was a bad mayor. Hasn’t that been done over and over and over again on this blog? It’s way over the top. #17, 23: me thinks we’re getting another scolding session at Dave’s expense. That Finger Wagger can’t wait for him to leave us all again, alone and so very uninformed. Speak up, speak out and if it smells bad get rid of it.
#25- you are wrong about my statement although I may not agree with everything in Daves blog, I have spent a few months now and it encouraged me to start paying attention the the issues surrounding me. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I am not personally guided by a political party. However I did notice that out of all the months nothing seemed constructive or positive when it came to belmar, and it appears that a select group of individuals complain about almost anything. I believe that happy thoughts bring happy things maybe I’m a fool, but if positive actions brings a positive community I’m willing to give it a try. Today’s post was my breaking point where it discussed the school system in belmar, like I said I make an educated opinion by verifying I went on the website and the first thing that I saw was on the side it caught my eye is the stop and shop earn fundraiser that gives back to your school. I wish I knew that it may not cure a problem but it could help bring some more good. I personally don’t care if Matt was late to a meeting but had I seen this about the stop and shop card I would have registered mine sooner. That’s why I’m creating a positive info network for belmar, because I know the majority of the community does not have the same negative feeling as the select few. #26, If you want to create a site to promote goodwill , that’s great. But I would like to know who you are and what your criteria is. Dave Schneck has openly and bravely been administering this blog for years. Because of it he has taken a lot of heat and perhaps some accolades. By allowing anonymous comments people have been able to say things they would otherwise be hesitant to say. While it is their prerogative, I personally feel it would carry more weight and perhaps open up better community diolauge for people to say who they are. But that’s me.
So please, introduce yourself. The Common Sense for Belmar family awaits.

As long as someone who is as Ethical, Unbiased and with as much Integrity as Dave Schneck I will be happy to continue to help Belmar heal and improve without blasting or boasting my identity. That’s just me, too.

I understand your position and perhaps in time I will be able to disclose my personal information. Unfortunately with due respect to you I do not feel I need to be bashed for wanting to promote support for the community and turn all this energy into something positive. But I do hope some people are interested in joining me and helping. I appreciate this blog and it caught my attention opened my eyes and encouraged me to do research and verify some of the comments that I wasn’t quite sure of and as I was doing that I realized we need to learn from past mistakes and take those lessons change the future. So that’s what I am trying to do. I’m only in my early 30’s if I choose not to get involved in my community now, in 10, 15, 20 years or more things are a mess I should only blame myself for not being more proactive and just sitting by. But respect me, don’t respect, speculate, actions will speak louder then words. So maybe once I get thins up and running you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
How far is Wolfsboro from Hampton Beach Dave?
That town looks inviting for the summer and it’s a quick flight to boot.
