Matt Doherty is a pathetic human being and a bold-faced liar! HE put the acting police chief in this position, and other Borough officials. Think about it…how else could it have taken 14 months for a simple place to place liquor license transfer? I hope the Harmon’s have their day in court! And I hope it all becomes public for the people of Belmar to see. His Facebook post is misleading, and a pathetic attempt to get votes for Brennan. The people of Belmar are not stupid! Election Day cannot come soon enough!
More Matt Doherty nonsense. Why didn’t he show the flier in his posting so his followers can see the true context of its message? Why, because like most of his political ilk he takes opprtunity to spew venom by taking slices of information and exploiting it to forward his agenda. That is what a true polition does. Remember, “It’s about people and not politics”. Huh!
We will see if the police back up the mayor if the SALT matter goes to trial. It appears that they were the mayor’s tools in the whole affair, and the mayor now wants the police and Acting Chief Huisman on his side by “protecting” them in that referenced facebook statement, but if it looks like trouble for the Belmar Gang of Many, will the police go down with them? Cops have their own union lawyers and can even get other jobs, but disgraced public officials with court-proven crimes? I think the mayor is starting to sweat.

The Acting Chief is the Mayor’s whipping boy. Matt told him to create the whole Salt debacle and in return Huisman will get all the unlimited overtime he wants as “Acting Chief”. If he made him or ever decides to make him a “Chief” then all the cash money overtime goes away…BUT then any overtime will be “Comp Time” and will be paid out in a GIANT lump sum check when he retires. Belmar residents lose AGAIN !

Low and dirty politics. The mayor has essentially made this up out of thin air. And the sad part is people believe it. Have you read the comments on his post? Essentially most people are saying that they haven’t seen the ad he’s referring to but they don’t need to bc anyone who doesn’t support Belmar Pd doesn’t get my vote. Josh is actually losing votes over this blatant lie.
Do your due diligence people! Consider your source of information. And when you read something like this then actually read the advertisement in question.

Belmar needs a CODE RED from the Chief of Police-
“On Election Day, November 7th, Borough Hall will be closed for business and only essential personnel (George & April) need report to the building. All administration reserve parking spaces can be used by voters and poll workers”

First of all, how does the Mayor of Belmar, or any Mayor for that matter, know that being a police officer today is increasingly difficult ??? You’re a Mayor not a cop so stop trying to give the illusion you know anything. Besides, the chief has no vested interest in Belmar…he doesn’t live here.
The first thing you learn when you become a poll worker is No One touches The Machine but a Poll Worker. Imagine my suprise when I read in one of the papers from a resident in town that the districts in the boro hall had been moved around and someone moved the machines to their new spot. Who do we think had that change put into play?
