I visited D Street between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue and I could see where someone might be confused, especially if other cars have already parked there.
The next block of D Street, BTW, has the worst sidewalk in Belmar.
I tripped and fell here last March.

This is a very sad story. The Belmar PD should be ashamed if this is true.
admin, please do opra requests for all people that’ve gotten towed in this area? I think that the person who had this happen to should call Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office and do an Internal Affairs investigation too!
It sounds like AG guidelines were broken by these class I or II officers. This is not a funny matter, its dealing with the disability that lost enjoyment at the beach for no reason.
I would get a lawyer too and see if civil rights were broken. Shameful and uncalled for!
Does anyone know why parking is not allowed?
Pretty sure that during summer traffic (one ways on thw southern side] parking is not allowed on the esstern/beach side of D street. My guess is the roadway isn’t wide enough for parking on both sides and heavy 2 way traffic.i would see ticketing and towing all the time down in the 13 to 16th ave area.
Considered an emergency cross town route for Fire/PD.
DPW did a good job trying not to pollute the street with signs …. pavement surface paint could be changed from white to bright yellow.
Scary situation. Why wasn’t the man taken to the new first aid bldg at 19th on the beach??
Also..I too had a bad fall on a snowy night on those horrible sidewalks on D.
Wasn’t there a complete town wide sidewalk assessment recently done, as part of the push to get everyone to use the same company? Where those sidewalks noted?
I think we haven’t reached the deadline for when they have to be fixed.
If Belmar was looking for a revenue source, they would need to go no further than 16th ave. It is posted 25MPH but traffic routinely goes 40-45MPH. Very dangerous.
Proof is in the pudding. Resident posting of self made, large signs with 25 MPH displayed on 16th Avenue. Instead of political signs why not try hand made traffic signs.
Awesome comeon, if Belmar can give Jersey City residents a free summer day pass at the beach surely they will offer up passage to the Bishop and his flock to reach the healing ocean waters.
I bet I know what their political
leanings are.
