Gotta love Doherty’s BS statement. I guess he forgets that employees of establishments that have year round licenses would be losing money and work. What an ass.

Unfair to the season holders. But that being said …………….why would the mayor care?????His just looking for more money from his friends for his future political plans. Heard ND is looking for a mayor in the city of bluff and dodge ND

Year round liquor licensed establishments don’t make it their mission to register fraudulent voters to skew election results.

Probably ties into voter registration scheme. More for the Primary fix as well as November. 1300 votes from Belmar Trumpets the true story. Very few fraudulent absentee votes from the 1800 Ocean Avenue half-hearted regist ration drive last fall.

Why doesn’t mcdirty and his pals just grant one day licenses for occasional days to seasonals that don’t interfere with the ability of year round owners right to run their businesses as intended. The employees of the year round businesses (lean times in winter when the OCEAN is cold) deserve the right to earn their salaries just as much as Mcdirty’s pals. What steal from them north jersey bosses?

Could be RESALE of cash based DJAIS nightclub would be enhanced, i.e. mucho caliendo money.

D’Jais has another one, currently held in pocket, and Barry DePeppe has one, also held in pocket until he has a building to use it in.

Did ya ever notice how many snowflakes wear ski caps to keep warm year round?

They never takes them off inside or out. Must be trying to keep their brains within their bodies.

Gotta love how they use the picture of DJais post Sandy to tug at the heart strings. Feel so sorry for the rich owners with this heavily cash enterprise. Wish they had an image of what the front of that dump looks like on a typical Saturday night….drunks everywhere, loud rowdy line, fighting, cursing, urination, vomiting, etc etc. Just read the police blotter which used to list 1801 Ocean Ave as the violation but now the PD is directed to report “on ocean Ave” as the directive of the Djais owners. Djais owns Belmar now more than ever!

NJ.COM piece starts by saying “Several popular bars are seeking” the extension. Has anyone heard of another bar outside of DJ’s pushing for this? These DJ’s guys appear to have much to gain since they own 2 licenses…and their political donations to the north jersey politicians will be covered with the take entry cover charge at the front door during the first 2 hours of parade day

Doherty’s statements are all political fluff and rarely ever have any factual basis at all. Amazing how some people still gaze at him no matter what comes out of his mouth.

The “working class people” need a good night sleep …. kinda hard to tell from Inlet Terrace. D’Jais is a tolerated nuisance during the crazy summer. Keep tradition

The working class people and all Belmar residents are sick of drunks passed out around town after staggering out of bars, of people using front lawns to vomit and urinate, of excess calls for police /ambulance to handle chaos at bars, of sidewalks being blocked by bar patrons, of drunk drivers and of loud noise near bus late at night. Make Belmar wholesome and get rid of some of the bars
