This afternoon while walking home I came upon a police officer (I know the police officer was only doing the job he was assigned by his superiors) doing skool crossing guard work at the corner of 18th and Main. That’s some sort of HS down there. If a HS aged student can’t get safely acrost a street with a traffic light by themselves, they’re not worth drawing rations for.

   #8 – There’s a lot wrong with it. There should be no paid personnel at streets with traffic lights. If they want to put a person there, then put an 8th grader there. If they don’t have 8-10 8th graders in the school who could do the job, then shut the dumb school down. That’s what they did when I was a boy and that was in Brooklyn and my school, PS-92 only went up to 6th grade. Sixth graders then must’ve been as smart as adults are now. We just go from dumb to dumber anymore.
