Praised, what a joke after being called-out for their past irresponsible behavior. Why are they open until 2am when they are suppose to cease serving at 10pm? Oooops, must be another over-site by the overtime police Sargent being paid to protect the joint.
What a joke. Talk about a staged photo by Djais. When have you ever seen the west side of Ocean Ave in front of that place on a Friday or Saturday night not lined with cabs and our pricey Belmar Police SUV’s?
Billy Luddecke and his dancing cowboy boots must have really ripped the Governor a new one about his mean comments to get this mea culpa.
The picture in the Patch article from The Thinker is not from this past weekend because directly overhead DJ’s had three banners in that spot. Two banners said Snub The Bug and the third said Masks Required Even When Online.
In the Governor’s picture you can see those banners. But how come no one is wearing masks if the sign says it is required?
Maybe Patch should get there act together. D’Jais must have given the governor another huge donation.
Just to clarify, alcohol sales must cease at 10pm in the parking lot ONLY. The newspaper article was a little misleading in that aspect.
Mrs. Sementa, To clarify DJ’s can continue to serve alcohol until 1:30am on the front porch and in the alleged illegally expanded backyard beer & dance garden? Is that where all that thumping base and music was coming from on Thursday night?
#6 can you please tell us what happened to the Djais Shush patrol which is a requirement for the liquor license & operation?
Reading the Coast Star front page article from this week about Djais and Bar A getting thumbs up from Governor. Can someone explain to me how they are getting kudos for social distancing on the line keeping people further apart but no one is wearing masks except the bouncers? After the people waiting online are permitted to enter they walk around to the hidden back area where they are drinking and dancing in close proximity. How does that make sense? How is that stopping the spread of the virus?
Nice line at Djais this afternoon at 5 o’clock stretching from the door all the way down to the corner of 19th. People on the line are 100% blocking the entire Belmar sidewalk right of way are very few are wearing masks.
DJais is not my cup of tea. I’ve been there a couple of times and probably will never go back. Having said that, it’s the summer and people want to have a good time. There’s nothing wrong with the people congregating and going there. Lets just knock all this nonsense off. The whole covid19 malarkey is just that – MALARKEY.
Mr. Dilberger. Your advanced age puts you in a high risk category so you should stay away from Ocean Ave and 18th also known as the corner of Covid and Corona.
6 – The ILLEGALLY created rear yard is considered part of the conditional, and temporary expanded use, and thus must stop serving at 10pm also. The BS over there at 18th and Ocean needs to stop immediately.
#6 your silence is deafening.
LIMA, Peru (AP) — Thirteen people died in a stampede at a disco in Peru after a police raid to enforce the country’s lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic, officials said Sunday.
Everyone knows how those Peruvians can get
————————————
I guess those Peruvians were all of an “advanced age” and will be listed as died of the virus #12. You people are as funny as a barrel full of monkeys – when it’s your time, it’s your time my son.
Tommy D is speaking some truth here. You all need to grow up and stop complaining. Bunch of losers on here
