Belmar Dem candidates already in violation
Even if we assume they have not received any contributions of any kind or spent any money at all, they would still each have been required to file form A-1 by May 6. Ironically, the A-1 is the form where you affirm that you understand the rules and will abide by them.
These screen shots are from this morning.
Once you receive a contribution or spend any money you are required to set up a campaign depository and report, within 10 days, the bank account and treasurer on form D-1. Contributions and spending reports are due 29 days and again 11 days before the election. Republicans know this.
(As a joint committee they file A-2s and D-2s.)
BTW, it doesn’t look like anyone has reported anything to the Borough yet, as they are all required to do under Belmar’s campaign finance laws.

If the 2 Democratic candidates can not fill out the forms on time and respect the rules, how can they expect to be elected and govern bigger issues in Belmar?
Sad … the Blue candidates were ‘Off To A Bad Start’ when they got signatures for their nomination petitions … a non-starter kiss-of-death, dragging them down.
