As the agenda states-there will be no ordinances presented. This ordinance has been put into “workshop” for discussion. Workshop items have NO PUBLIC COMMENT.

Actually neither does the 1st reading and introduction. I would like to see public comments allowed for both.

But we can still comment on it in the public session at end of meeting.

#3 Why? Let’s have all important issues discussed at council meetings. Are they that busy? Get them on record.

The Republican candidate for Borough Council has done it yet again. For months now Uncle Tom has been painting the picture of here in Mayberry, there is no there, there. Those in power care only to serve. There are a few reactionary and negative people like myself who are just that negative. Now in response to the pay-to-play ordinance, he’s talking about political retribution and boycotts of businesses based on election law disclosure of campaign contributions. Well, that is the seedy, dark underside of the Democratic Party partisan behavior in this town for decades. Tom, you can’t keep going on rants about how everyone gets along except for the few malcontents, while giving attention to the opposite. Well you can, but you are old enough to know by now that you can’t have it both ways. Really how many average Belmar residents, read the campaign contribution reports like the funnies or the sports column? Sending a campaign contribution also is not a proof of who you actually voted for with the curtain closed in the polling area.
