You need a helicopter to get around Belmar 6pm Tuesday. Thanks Bar A for best the clock on a Holiday Eve. Town is at capacity. Unsafe.

7 cops at Bar A already … our taxes dollars being wasted on providing private security to the bars.

Update – add the “acting” chief and his sidekick Lieutenant Scott now make 9 cops at Bar A for security detail.

New Jersey Transit cops should do “Beat the Clock” duty on 16th and Railroad Avenues.

We don’t have trained crowd control for the turn out on Tuesdays. Security people, security.

Why is he still the “acting” chief? Is he not the official chief? I don’t know this story and would like to.

8 – I believe that it has something to do with the hundreds of thousands in overtime dollars that he has bilked from the Belmar taxpayers in the last 4 years. Because he is acting he is eligible for overtime pay.

The people walking around the neighborhoods tonight is insane. 12am and there are packs of people yelling and screaming up and down the streets. One would assume that the Specials are all at the bars and not patrolling the residential-taxpayer neighborhoods. Maybe the acting chief should get an Oscar for his performance.

I think the Mayor and council should get out of their houses and see the people lined up to get into Bar A all the way down the train tracks to the 17th Ave dump. Totally insane!!! The traffic was horrible you would think there was a mass evacuation with all the cars. The Bar owners run this town! Total chaos.

11 – It is NOW time to address occupancy limits at all of the bars in Belmar and Lake Como. This may take a petition to force these towns to undergo such an effort since it appears that every candidate is either afraid to touch these bars or are in bed with them. Reasonable occupancy limits are needed as part of a long term solution.

Do Belmar mayor and council members stay overnight/reside/sleep in their voting residences during the summer?

It will take a disaster of some sort

before anyone makes a move to change

anything. We just live here and pay

here with absolutely no rights or

Admin, can the overtime paid to the acting chief and the rest of the department be opra’d for the last few years?

I agree #12 limit the number of people allowed to line up – to have a line that long to get into Bar A is insane and unsafe.

I am surprised with the opening story that no one even mentioned that
the pilot was not injured. Are we all
Immune to the things that happen to humans? I am glad the Pilot was lucky
enough to walk away. It was good piloting on his part.
