Of course it’s on the marina grill deck. Where else would it be. Complimentary food and beverage to soften the blow of what’s to come

I think the meeting should be at the Boathouse. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if someone got word to the boat slip owners that the meeting was changed and moved to the Boathouse. Then Moot shows up and no one is there but a concerned staff of Chef’s could inform him everyone is at the Boathouse for the meeting that was changed by Collbean herself.

    #14-Agreed! Very inconsiderate/unprofessional/calculated time for a meeting.

I presently do not own a boat so was not on the email list. The meeting is on Labor Day weekend on the last day of fluke season. Can’t imagine many boaters showing up. The damage is already done down there. Mayor is complete idiot and council too for blindly following him.

Yeah I know but the 3rd is last day for those who have to work on the 4th and 5th. Still not a bright idea to have a meeting on a Sunday unless you really don’t want people to show up anyway..

There are slip tenants that truly enjoy the manner in which the Belmar marina has been developed…. There are other tenants that hate it… Go fishing instead of attending the meeting, it is very relaxing…. No changes will be made based on the meeting, just a lot of lip service….

    Hi Dave.

I was at the meeting and did a live feed. You can see most of what was said on my Vallario4Belmar facebook page.

There were a lot of unhappy boat owners there…

Very curious to know what the total allowable occupancy is for the Grill and the Pier. I wonder if there was enough parking to cover those two businesses. But we know the answer to that already.

The parking challenges were foreseen. It will be interesting to see if anything is going to be done about it.

I will say this – and have said it many times… Someone is going to get hurt crossing Rt 35. Some poor intoxicated 20-something… Proceeds from the Grill owner should have been set aside to cover the cost of some sort of pedestrian overpass or crossing. Dealings with the DOT could have been started when the development deal was inked and the funds could have been escrowed to be used once the DOT approved any work done to or over Rt 35. Oh and the Grill owner should have paid for their own site work too… Just my two cents.
