I thought the problems were supposed to be last year.

Fly on that wall! Maybe Theresa Pringle or Brian Pringle could let this bloc know. Should be some meeting post Chef’s takeover.
Can’t make it- nowhere to park ! Lol
Maybe they should meet and say a prayer that all of the people of Houston need
Leasing the slips to Chef’s? That’s my guess.
Of course it’s on the marina grill deck. Where else would it be. Complimentary food and beverage to soften the blow of what’s to come
#5…My thoughts exactly. We’re going to break bread at the spot that has caused all the problems.
“Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look.”
Ahoy my mates, Big brother is hovering,
g’day for now.
Was going to be at Taylor….but it’s booked….
I think the meeting should be at the Boathouse. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if someone got word to the boat slip owners that the meeting was changed and moved to the Boathouse. Then Moot shows up and no one is there but a concerned staff of Chef’s could inform him everyone is at the Boathouse for the meeting that was changed by Collbean herself.
Can’t wait to hear Doherty’s stroke job.
Invitation for photo op at the Grille? Like asking the sheep for dinner at the fox den. Hmmm?
I thought he would quit by then?
Mayor Doherty thought, He would have been a Monmouth County Freeholder,by now.Leaving the towns problems to Mr. MaGovern.Monmouth cnty voter knew better.
such a snake move having this meeting on the Sunday of LDW
He’s hoping for no show s.
He is probably going to Saturday Mass?
Such a deal!
Boat slip holders would be offered a parking spot holder … for a fee.
The time to discuss problems was several years ago, BEFORE he decimated the marina!
#14-Agreed! Very inconsiderate/unprofessional/calculated time for a meeting.
I presently do not own a boat so was not on the email list. The meeting is on Labor Day weekend on the last day of fluke season. Can’t imagine many boaters showing up. The damage is already done down there. Mayor is complete idiot and council too for blindly following him.
#19…. Meeting is September 3…. Last day of fluke is the 5th… Get out and fish…
Yeah I know but the 3rd is last day for those who have to work on the 4th and 5th. Still not a bright idea to have a meeting on a Sunday unless you really don’t want people to show up anyway..
I need someone to report to me what is said at the meeting.
Meeting scheduled at a critical time, interrupting your businesses, to discuss the problem caused by moi administration, said he Doughty.
Hopefully you’ll be clever enough to UBRR to get there.
There are slip tenants that truly enjoy the manner in which the Belmar marina has been developed…. There are other tenants that hate it… Go fishing instead of attending the meeting, it is very relaxing…. No changes will be made based on the meeting, just a lot of lip service….
The Marina has been sold out for alcohol with the 2 bars operating there now. Get over it.
Hi Dave.
I was at the meeting and did a live feed. You can see most of what was said on my Vallario4Belmar facebook page.
There were a lot of unhappy boat owners there…
Very curious to know what the total allowable occupancy is for the Grill and the Pier. I wonder if there was enough parking to cover those two businesses. But we know the answer to that already.
The parking challenges were foreseen. It will be interesting to see if anything is going to be done about it.
I will say this – and have said it many times… Someone is going to get hurt crossing Rt 35. Some poor intoxicated 20-something… Proceeds from the Grill owner should have been set aside to cover the cost of some sort of pedestrian overpass or crossing. Dealings with the DOT could have been started when the development deal was inked and the funds could have been escrowed to be used once the DOT approved any work done to or over Rt 35. Oh and the Grill owner should have paid for their own site work too… Just my two cents.
Not all voters use facebook and read this blog.
Not all voters are to blame for the dough crew either.
