“Put The Bain Marie Next To The Ballroom Please”

Approved kitchen plan with access to Taylor “Ballroom” indicates that catering weddings was the plan all along and not just an afterthought.

A bain marie, BTW, is a big table with hot water that you place pans of food in to slow cook or keep warm. I did not know that’s what they are called.

According to Wikipedia, the name:  “comes from the medieval-Latin term balneum (or balineum) Mariae—literally, Mary’s bath—from which the French bain de Marie, or bain-marie, is derived. The device’s invention has been popularly attributed to Mary the Jewess, an ancient alchemist. However, the water bath was known many centuries earlier (Hippocrates and Theophrastus)”

They had to of started working prior to approvals
How come they didn’t need professional architectural drawings like every other business???

    Q. How are the utilities metered? Is there separation for catered space, day pass sales and

    A. See Lease Section 20. Utilities. Each Concession space has its own electric meter, gas meter and
water meter. These will be the Concessionaires responsibility. With regard to 5th Avenue Pavilion,
if Concessionaire does not build their own restroom but instead uses the Borough restroom, a prorated
billing based on square footage will be calculated quarterly

    Air-Cooled Vs. Water Cooled

Ice Machines or Ice cream machines

While the names of these types of ice machines pretty much speak for themselves there’s quite a bit more that goes into how they work. And while the right choice may seem obvious it is important to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of both before purchasing one. Before you can figure out the type if ice machine that is best suited for your needs you must first take into consideration your finances, your resources and your environment. In order to better help you determine which type of ice machine you want to buy we’ve compiled a list of the pros and cons of having an air-cooled or water-cooled ice machine.

    Air-Cooled Ice Machines
This type if ice machine is usually the most popular because it is generally more affordable and easy to install. Air-cooled ice makers take in the air around the machine and uses it to cool the refrigeration system before expelling it back out. But an air-cooled ice machine’s production is dependent on the environment it is in. The machine must have open air flow at the air vents and surrounding temperatures of approximately 70 degrees. And Air-cooled ice maker also produces a lot of extra heat from the used air it discharges, making your air conditioner have to work much harder.

    Pros:
    Affordable
    Easy installation
    Low water cost
    Cons:
    Ice production affected by environment
    Less energy efficient
    Higher electricity bill

    Water-Cooled Ice Machines
While this type of ice maker is generally less popular water-cooled machines are quieter and more energy efficient. And because they rely on water instead of air their production is consistent provided that the water is approximately 50 degrees. This makes them perfect for hot environments and outdoor uses. But a water-cooled ice machine requires over 100 gallons of water for every 100 lbs of ice it produces, and the excess water has to be dumped into a drain. Because of this the cost of having a water-cooled machine high and in many states it is illegal to operate water-cooled equipment without the use of a water tower.

    Pros:
    Consistent ice production
    More energy efficient
    Quieter
    Cons:
    More expensive
    Inconvenient installation
    Not feasible in many areas

    Remote Condenser Unit
A third option for prospective ice machine buyers to consider is a remote condenser unit. Most air-cooled ice makers have a self-contained condenser unit inside the machine but a remote condenser can be placed outside the machine in a different location. This eliminates an air-cooled units’ need for sufficient airflow and space within the room its in by having the air intake occur on the roof or side of the building. This will better maintain your ice production and decrease your energy bill. But the initial costs are much higher because the remote condenser is a separate piece to purchase in addition to the ice machine itself and the installation is more difficult.

    Pros:
    More consistent ice production
    Lowers electricity bill
    Cons:
    More expensive up front
    Difficult installation

The simple truth is that we were ripped off. We were sold a pack of lies and now we’re stuck with the check. The former administration used sentiment, fear tactics, and even tried to force the bond vote by tying it to the much needed out flow pipe in Lake Como. Then they tried to rig the voting process with a misleading ballot statement.
Those of us that publicly protested against the project were ridiculed by the mayor, lied to by the council members, and painted as terrorists and obstructionists by the the administration.
Now there is hard evidence proving what a lot of us already knew. They planned to give control of the pavilion to MM from the start. Corners were cut, and payola was made. I don’t know if what they did can be proven in a court of law to be illegal, but I’m 100% certain it was unethical. What we, the citizens of Belmar, deserve at the very least is a public apology from outgoing mayor McGovern, council person Nickolay, BA Connelly, and soon to be outgoing council person Brennan. Anyone wanna take the over/under on whether or not we get one?
As for Doherty, I’m not gonna hold my breath. He so deep in the political cronyism weeds that public apologies come only AFTER conviction of a crime.
