I was a contractor. If I were 70 years younger I would bid on the job. Yea they probably wouldn’t mind me doing it for less. My friends, most dead now, would show them a thing or two.

Wait until Hurricane season is over before commencement of “shovel” ready job?
If Lake Como floods over hugely and extends northward to join Silver Lake, then the project site will be correct. Let us hope that does not happen.

Intentional delay tactic or just shoddy work?
Delay or deterrence?
With half the streets having number names you wonder how this even happens in a one square mile town. Never mind I know the answer to that.
How about the powers using inept and careless “clerical” help to create deterrence and delay? (While the fix may already be in)
I think the DPW should park the military bulldozers down at the southend beach this summer to help the pipe project.
Elemental. I know quite a few clerical folks who catch the errors of the big money guys/girls?
#11 Yep, been there. That’s why “they” make the big bucks. Ha – don’t even get me started on that. Many bosses used to proofread what had been written by their underlings before signing or approving. Who looks over and approves written material? Rhetorical question only.
#12- The same people that look over payroll logs and authorize checks for the Fire Marshal’s position.
#13 Yep again, when the top dog has fleas, the rest catch them. In other words, crap flows downhill.
All we ever hear now is “it was a mistake, my bad, oh well, I call a do over” poor bastards … it’s FREE! Thats the mantra of this administration.
