From a commenter:
How can we ever respect these people. The lies never stopped, first they said they didn’t have the supervisor phone number (really),they had no problem finding it all summer. That’s why he wasn’t there. Second they said they called the assistant supervisor another lie, she never got a call. When Drew was asked about the stands being down, and the mayors comments, he didn’t know what we were talking about. Colleen and Brian kept lying, drew was thrown under the bus and Mark tried to get some answers for us.
From an emailer:
Much ado about nothing. Everyone still confused with no concrete answers. Drew wants to have policies and procedures drawn up. Mark Walsifer was there in support of us and questioned Magovern about the resolution. They went back and forth on that. Drew said he didn’t know anything about the stands being down which Doherty said was the reason for this whole thing. It’s so unbelievable that no one knows what the hell is going on. They all point fingers at each other. The best was when someone asked why Ray and Corrine weren’t there and Colleen answered that they didnt have their numbers. Total bullshit.
And from a texter:
Acting chief ran meeting. Attorney in attendance. Four officers to keep the peace. Ray Elms and Corrine not being hired back. Pending litigation from prior case and not being hired back. All others welcome to re-apply but there will be new management.

If its true that Corrine is not coming back, that is a great loss for Belmar beach! Sad times for Belmar.
YOu don’t have people have worked for the borough for 20+years phone number????
That makes perfect sense….said no one sane ever.
I always liked Corrine. Told me I was just a average person. However I knew that
Colleen needs to go back to Meri Makers.
She has been back with the caterer and continues to do so at their Belmar facility. Too many plates in the air for her.
From what I’ve heard about the meeting Capt Huisman ( his real title ) has been living in a bubble and had no clue whatsoever as to why the these lifeguards supervisors had been fired. They said as he was spewing his rhetoric under the watchful eyes of the borough attorney and the main puppeteer queen of mean Colleen, he was sweating profusely. How does a person of his ilk live with himself? I bet copious amounts of OT has something to do with it. They still have no idea of what they’re doing.Lets all hope their house of cards crumbles and lets see how they fair in general population…..Game on….Summer is coming…..
just reporting …. when the parade started …. I drove to Ocean Avenue to get out of town …. went past the Taylor Pavilion with a ‘Belmar Mayor Mathew Doherty’ banner attached to railing and a Merrimakers delivery truck
Yes, everything is always about the egomaniac “Matt Doherty” welcoming you to Belmar instead of the “citizens” of Belmar. Like seafood festival and parade. Who needs all these special intrusion events in our town anyway.
And Matt’s supporters wonder why he did not get the DMV or other state position. Get your heads out of the sand!
This is not his kingdom.
does anyone know how much the St.Patricks Day parade cost the town and taxpayers?
Prior litigation prevents hiring Corrine and Ray? Huh? No phone numbers for either Corrie or Ray? Which lie is being told and to whom by who and with whose authority.

Ridiculous
Give them an answer already , wouldn’t you want one ? Let them keep doing their jobs that they do so well! Geez!
Economic Recovery in AC? Open the State coffers Phil because the Boardwalk Empire II without a street smarts is coming back 2019 style 100 years later.
Thank you, Mary Jo!
Prior litigation should then preclude half of the current administration.
Here is a position that Matt is qualified for.
