Everything is fine. The Mayor helped install some handicapped access ramps and he is always out there doing good in the community. He is a fine human being full of compassion. Main Street looks great and business downtown is thriving. And you don’t know that taxes will go up. What proof do you have? Don’t be so negative. You all have sad lives. Blah blah blah…
And I do not hear the noise from the Anchor Tavern, have drunks passing out on my lawn, etc., all that stuff you negative commenters complain about. Why do you want to wreck a good thing in Belmar with this Mayor and fine administration? I am a true-blue Democrat and will go down defending the party to the end. I will gladly spend a dollar or whatever to attend the D’Jais end of year party. The money will go to, uh, Buy a Board or something. I trust them to do the right thing.

Any chance The Pat Roddy Band needs an opening act? I know a couple of guys that would love to play a few tunes and get the fans going. The only thing we need is a drummer! Any Ideas Dave???

It’s family friendly, but that could get expensive at $10pp. The cover is to pay Roddy’s band (he’s donating his time) and cover food and bev.

Reminds me of the old benefits that used to be held at the Jersey Shore. Everyone came and all the entertainers jumped on the stage to do their bit. Great time and real community spirit.

I have the impression that the purpose of this event is to educate people about “pay to play” – enhanced with music, food and drink. Let’s not forget how important clear understanding of what the votes means, both yes and no, as lack of understanding, clarity and transparency were part of the reason this borough has gotten in such serious trouble. Have a good time.
#15, Aileen, don’t say fee covers beverages (if liquor). Notice says that beverages are donated so attendees aren’t paying for beverages. Need a ABC license to charge for liquor. Gotta be careful with this type of stuff. Hope they checked this with State especially in light of D’Jais $1 drinks.

I’m sure Governless will be there taking pictures of all attending. I’m in and will bring “friends”.

In college we sold you the solo cup you were drinking out of, so we technically didn’t charge you for the booze.
