The proceeds are going to the Belmar Sandy Relief Fund! I wonder how we can find out where the money goes after it is in the “fund”. Maybe it will get sent to the home for summer “Fund” or maybe the buy a board “Fund”, or any other “fund” floating around town.
Awww, lighten up. Dance, dance, dance! I think you should join in.
And then you should create a new Sandy benefit. After all, the town may need some more money to fool around with
Dance? I can barely walk.

I’m sure they are very nice but they should maybe change the beneficiary to the Nepal earthquake victims or something.
Interesting poll on NJ.com

These same people had almost $10,000 in gift cards disappear from the municipal safe and nobody was held responsible. Whoever lied about it is probably the one in charge of these donations. Only a fool would put more money into their hands.
Here’s something to think about. What’s with all the dumb military vehicles sitting around in our different yards? Seems we could cut them up and sell them for scrap down in Mazza’s in Neptune.
Who or what is the “Belmar Sandy Relief Fund”? I would be interested to know how much outstanding unpaid recovery exists? After FEMA, on line donations from around the world, and local multi-year benefits what is left in Belmar that needs to have another fund raiser for it’s benefit? I’m not including the 2 Home for Summer families as that is a separate charity now.
Those military vehicles, many of which are high-water (for those common Rt 35 tidal floods to the next Sandy) are audited by the State and Federal Government. They are loaned—to put it simply—to the Borough but are subject to inspection or recall. The Borough is not free to dispose of the property in such a manner.
Doesn’t look like we’re taking really great care of the stuff.
