#1 – There was an accident involving at least 1 car (maybe a couple of more cars) and maybe 1 motorcycle from what we could see walking by.

#3. Such a tragedy. Sometimes incidents are truly accidents. Other time , many times, it’s the result of careless, selfish and even reckless behaviors or choices. I know this too well. God help them all and their loved ones.

I used to think bikes would be safer in open road areas, but accidents happen anywhere. NJ is too congested. Our accident on the bridge was in the lane for those making a left onto 8th avenue. I am not a fan of the design of that bridge. Although we no longer wait for the bridge to open and close for boats, having a light after crossing from the southbound side is extremely dangerous. If you sit there waiting to turn left you can feel the cars speeding past you in the 2 lanes next to you. Poor Design.
