Don’t you love people who show up at and videotape public meetings and then put them up on You Tube? They are the true heroes of our age.
Here are a few clips of some of the totally bogus public hearings held on August 16, 2011 about the totally bogus Port Authority toll hikes that Christie’s aides planned for us. You may recall that the hearings had many guests that attended at the behest of a notable Belmar resident (mayor’s wife) who happens to be very close to the laborers’ union. These special guests all wore matching orange T-shirts.

First up, NYC Councilman Jim Oddo speaks at a morning hearing in Staten Island.
How come none of the guys in the orange T-shirts are clapping?
.
Next we have a second Staten Island hearing, added the evening of August 16, after so many complaints about the inconvenient time of the 8:00 morning meeting. It was held “in a tricky-to-find building at the New York Container Terminal, a spot on a lonely, industrial road marked by a few signs that said “public hearing” and a police car’s flashing lights.”
.
.
Third up, Hoboken councilman David Mello speaks at a hearing held there.
Those orange T-shirts look like prison jumpsuits. There, I said it!
.
Lastly we have the hearing held in Fort Lee. This tape includes comments from a Bergen County official, Fort Lee mayor Mark Sokolich, some unhappy toll payers, and those orange-shirt guys.
