Really! The explanatory statement was written by the administrator and the judge deemed it influential. If this town wasn’t trying to shove everything down our throats and then make up fantasy stories about it being free none of this would be happening.

We are spending 2.2 million for the 10th, the bonding has been approved for over six months and nothing has been done, no bids, nothing. The 10th is only 2451 sq. ft. we are paying $856 per sq. ft. to construct it. That is an insane amount of money to spend on construction and more per square foot than last year’s plan to build for $738 per sq. ft.

The residents in this town need to know that even though the bonding is in place, nothing is happening with the 10th. There is no petition or referendum preventing or delaying construction just the mayor and council have done nothing.

The 5th is costing 4.1 million to construct, the total is exactly the same as the 7 million we said no to last year. The council also approved about $800,000 for bathrooms.

The price average for constructing both pavilions is much higher now $856 up from $738 last year.

This WILL be reflected in your taxes. Don’t be foolish look at the money being spent in town and our debt. You cannot spend and tell residents it will be free. Nothing is free.

Democratic rights to bamboozle the people. (That party does not have exclusive rights to do that.) That is hilarious. Talk about a kool-aid drinker!

About Brendan’s comment, and the voters that have left town – does he mean the voters who have gone back to their primary residences?

I would not like to be indebted to that Raia guy by taking his money. He could find out where I live and leave me “flowers” in my swimming pool.

I would like to know who is behind that spot-zoning ‘deal’ that allowed the arcade to be built across the street from the school on Main Street. Not much objection about that, although Borough Hall claims they notified the school/BOE. I wonder if they got the letter.

#6 …. The Belmar B.O.E. was entitled to written notice of the arcade …. if the B.O.E. didn’t receive the written notice? …. the B.O.E. should request “proof of notice”.
going forward …. a big concern to the Belmar B.O.E. should be PILOT …. regime popular …. payment in lieu of taxes …. the deals would shortchange public education funding in Belmar.
