now that’s an “interesting” looking purson…
His political career future ‘runway’ landing pad continues to get shorter and shorter. Ultimately and while due process still exists in the state of NJ, I think there will not be too many landing spots available in the near future for a pubic service appointment for Matt. He is talented in certain respects, but all in all – he brought this upon himself. He is a knowledgeable and talented guy in a few respects, but he really F’D up with the pushing of his personal agenda over the years along with a demonstrated lack for compassion for some residents – which includes common decency. Too bad. He could have been one of the best ever to serve Belmar.

To the administrator, in my opinion NO ! I should address it to you for publishing the story as ” fact” without doing your ” due diligence ” to insure it is or is not facture.
It is a fact that More Monmouth Musings is reporting this. I am reporting that fact. You don’t think I should ever link to any news stories without first independently verifying that every sentence in that story is true but you seem disinterested in ever verifying whether things being told to us by the mayor are true.
#15 I suggest you review the State of NJ Ethics vs what Matt has been found guilty of, not rocket science, A public official found guilty of violating civil rights has no business being in State or Federal government positions, it is a violation of state ethics.
How clever Murphy was in bateing patronage candidates for plum jobs knowing one won’t fit and the other will. Irony is Machiavelli.

It seems to me that hard core Doherty supporters choose to ignore his failings. It is like arguing religion with some people, pointless and a waste of time. Violation of civil rights is HUGE and dismissed as a triviality by some people. Sure, according to the mayor, all lawsuits are frivolous and are being appealed. That is what is done to waste time and not pay certain legal bills.
Changing the subject a bit – there was an artist rendering in the Coast Star of what every third light pole along the boardwalk will look like for the next 40 years if this Verizon deal goes through… hideous looking!
#15 – MMM site has the council meeting as having happened Monday night in the article linked to this post. But yet another article on their site that the meeting was Tuesday. Don’t blame this site for linking information from other news sources. And in this day and age, we’re all responsible for doing our own fact checks!
The Verizon deal is terrible ! Who cares if there’s free WiFi on beach ?!!! Providing Free WiFi isn’t Belmar’s duty to beach goers.

Matt’s adventures at the DMV- The Third And Final Act
Scene
The Trenton Headquarters of the Division of Motor Vehicles
The agency is in shambles. Morale is at an all time low and there are several pending law suits against the institution.
Cast:
Matt- Happless political hack
Stanley- Gov Murphey’s chief of staff. A gifted stratagist and well known political assassin.
Matt- Hey Stanley! Hows the Gov?
Stanley- Matt, we need to talk
Matt- Um, ok. Lets go down to Clancy’s bar. Its right around the corner. They love me there! They have Beach Haus beer there. Believe that? I made that happen.
Stanley-(looking at watch) It’s 10:30
Matt- Oh right right. Ok then step into my office (makes a sweeping gesture with his arms) I never get tired of saying that. Never
Stanley- (sitting) Ok Matt, you are going to resign. You are going to resign today. (hands Matt a slip of paper) this is your resignation letter. It will be leaked to the press. It will save Phil the embarrassment of firing you.
Matt- What? But we’re doing great.
Stanley- Matt, we lost one of the best employees this agency has ever had.
Matt- Who?
Stanley- Janet! She left because of your behavior.
Matt- No no, she’s just against our recovery. I’m sorry that she’s against our recovery.
Stanley- (rubbing his face) Matt, I’m afrraid to ask what that means.
Matt- It’s an element ya see. Hey, should my wife be here?
Stanley- No, I spoke with here. She’s aware.
Matt- But I like it here. We’re doing excellent.
Stanley- Matt, there are a half dozen law suits against the agency.
Matt- Frivolous. Element.
Stanley- (trying to remain calm) Matt, you had them serve jello shots at the Toms River branch. Some kids got a hold of them before thier road test!
Matt- But…
Stanley- And why is the DMV in the paper every week? It’s the DMV for God’s sake! And the story is always accompanied by some inane quote attributed to you. It ends now. Today.
Matt- (news begining to sink in) Can I go back to being Mayor? That was fun.
Stanley- Matt, I don’t think that is possible. The four million dollar Community Disaster Loan needs to be paid back and FEMA denied payment for the ridiculous pavilion you built. Did you really think that anyone was going to believe that that thing cost five million dollars?!? It has vinyl floors and left over boardwalk planks for railings! Plus you basically gave it to a private company to run. Matt, I don’t know how else to say it but you’re toast.
Matt- (suddenly looking strangely calm)I’m sorry you’re against our recovery.
Stanley- Me too, Matt. Me Too. (stands and leaves)

If he got to be the DMV head he would make sure he went to Eatontown to meet the people who called him out when he did wrong, and yell NO License For You as he grabbed it out of their hand.
The only thing Matt should have to do with license plates in making them in the pokey. Too bad he did not get that gig, maybe there is still hope we will be rid of him somehow….
