Tech Insight From A Reader

From an email I got last night:

As an FYI… They’re scraping content from Instagram to create posts on the site’s blog using a service called IFTTT. Basically you hook your Instagram and WordPress accounts to the service and whenever a certain Instagram user is tagged (in this case D’Jais) it creates a WP blog post. Hover over the usernames under the pics and you’ll see the link, ift.tt/something.
FWIW.

It’s almost like the thing is on autopilot…but not completely.

Whoever is administrating the site pulled down the image I took the screenshot of yesterday:

Which tells me someone who reads this blog knows how to contact the person who runs that blog.

They also disabled the contact link, I guess.

I say I guess because I didn’t try it the other day while the photo was still up.  (I’m a married man you know.)

Dave, so glad we got our point across. LOL! This should be an interesting topic to bring up at the next meeting. Good work Dave 🙂

Hopefully it was Claire that relayed the message to whoever. I know Claire would be appalled at this “hook up” page. Trouble is the cat’s out of the bag and everyone now knows the Council who are up on all things Belmar approved of this. To think Jennifer and Janice knew this and oked it is amazing. Then again maybe they didn’t know anything about it, that would probably be right since they are unaware of all the stuff going on with the marina and Maclearie Park.

And unfortunately, the first pic above (@rxxxx) is of xxxxx xxxxxxxx, the supervisor of our xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx. People probably don’t even know that they are being posted just by hashtagging D’Jais on their Instagram accounts.

The “HookUp” ads are still running on their website. How very sad. Maybe SPARK marketing could be paid to get this down. It certainly doesn’t project the pro-family Belmar I read about. http://belmarnightlife.com/

Something really fishy is going on here. Was there tax payer money being paid out to this guy, who’s doing this prostitution advertising rig on the back end to make some $.. We need to get to the bottom of this..
