The 2010 debate was organized by the Belmar Chamber of Commerce and held before a packed house. There have been none since.
I think now would be a good time for Belmar to resume having candidates debate the issues in front of the public. There certainly is plenty to talk about.

I so agree! The residents need to get a sense of how each candidate thinks about topics and issues involving Belmar. One could be easily organized. Having a forum for the business community makes no sense. What makes sense is a candidates’ forum for the residents-the voters.
I totally agree also. Let a non partisan group like the Belmar Womens club organize it.

That is a fascinating read. Matty is showing his hypocritical hand. The hypocritical style that would guide him through the beginning of his mayoral career right up til he day he quit.
Brian predicts that Belmar will take over the Lake Como police department “in a few years”.
Please please please get out and vote folks. The dishonesty and corruption needs to stop. Colleen needs to be let go. The laws governing quality of life issues need to be enforced.
