What do you expect when an above average amount of people attend the type of event. You go to the beach every day and it’s quiet and calm. Then this happens. Natural reaction for most is to be scared. Doesn’t matter what color the group was. It’s about the amount of people!!!
Very simple solution that won’t cost a dime. Make 1/4 of beaches Black only, 1/4 Spanish only, 1/4 White only and 1/4 open to anyone. And of course, have no rules or regulations on the Black only beaches. And Black lifeguards too. The next complaint would be that the water was too cold on their beaches.
If you can smoke I’ll go to the black beach.
#2 Separate but equal is against the law!!
#2 – Should Caucasian males who self identify as Black, Hispanic, lesbians have a beach set aside for them as well?
Laws are kinetic, meant to be changed as time changes us all. Laws are constantly challenged as need be, hence SCOTUS. Think outside the box people, in a conservative way if possible. Segregation occurs all around us in an obvious but subtle way. It is not always bad and is sometimes worth a second look at. I am far from being a bigot as my life has consisted of many classes of people and was raised to treat all people equal However, I am open to change which needs to be accepted by both sides. Compromism, not a real word but it’s what life is all about, needed to live in harmony and peace.
Isn’t it normal practice to go to the beach with a generator and speakers??? Turning this into a racial issue is absolutely absurd, but so typical these days. I heard they were spoken to by a F/T Officer who is black. Apply for a permit like anyone else would have to regardless of your skin color.
Was it a solar or gasoline fueled generator brought to the public beach?
Neither are allowed but it would be interesting to find out if the “Organizer overlooked the carbon monoxide fouling of the sea air that she was willing to subject these unknowing ladies to while visiting.
Governor Murphy and Lt Governor Oliver both know Belmar is not a racist borough, nor are we insensitive to ethnic cultures. May I suggest, in an effort to obite litigation the Honorable Lt Governor reach out to the Organizer(s) in order to explain that rules are not made to be broken but are to protect people of all cultures.
YO DIS real spit. I is white butt my homiez aint. Wassup in Belmar – peace if u isnt PARTAYIN in DJAIS (luv, luv homez). Da copz need to chill yo.
#9- I guess you want the FBI to do an investigation also. Stop bowing down to these a-holes and their racism BS. You are playing right into them. WHAT the Officer did do wrong is not issuing a summons for something. Being nice always comes back to bite you in the axx.
There should also be a beach set aside for people who think of themselves as left handed conjoined twins joined at the nose and pinkie.
It takes a racist to know a racist
It’s kind of laughable that we’re all complaining about this group not getting a permit, meanwhile the boro never got a permit or permission from the state to build the berms. It is miserable to walk south and not see the ocean. When are they going to remove these illegal structures so we can see water again??
#14 Want to see the water? Get a boat
18th & Ocean view blocked by berms. News to Seniors attending Djais luncheon political soiree.
