Tuesday’s Agenda

This meeting’s resolutions are all published all on one document. I have republished Resolution 2017-01. If you click on the image it will open the entire document.

I see George McGill is out as municipal attorney. Sad to see him go but it’s probably best for him. (I would never want that job under this administration.)

Also notable is the employment of D’Jais supporting (and supported) Assemblyman Raj Muherji as one of our labor attorneys. (I wonder if we’re going to have to pay for his health insurance.)

Of course the best work is being one of our conflict/litigation attorneys. Below are the checks we wrote them in 2016:

The total comes to $341,879.74.  (A small amount of it was for redevelopment and bonding stuff.) To my knowledge the only court success was against the drunk woman who fell off her stool.

With all the conflicts of interest that the mayor has, can/should he make all those appointments? New attorney, what do you say?

#7 – Don’t forget, there’ll be gladiatorial contests during the day and orgies at night. Each restaurant, through town ordinance will have to fit themselves out with vomitoriums. Perhaps, Matt and council will partake in opening night festivities upon the grand openings of these establishments. There’s no end to where we can go with this.

Just remember people, as a candidate for Freeholder, Matt Doherty lost every district in his own town. That speaks volumes as to where he stands in the minds of Belmar residents. Gotta vote this knucklehead out of here.

The meeting agenda deprives the public of any comment and immediately violates proposed No. 2017-7 entitled “RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH RULES OF ORDER FOR MEETINGS OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL”

Someone on TV last week expressed concern that the country may move toward fascism with the Trump administration. Silencing just one person at a meeting is a step in that direction. Think about it. Doherty’s Rules of Order is what we have here. I think of Bob Marley’s song line, “Get up stand up, stand up for your rights.”
