Until we get a council that has a fiduciary responsibility with the public’s money ie spent $$$ on pavilion plans and legal fees for an “responsible bidder” ordinance not a responsible council ordinance, we have to get all the tax revenue we can to hopefully get back some of the wasted $$$
As you raise objections to D’Jais, please explain how you plan on replacing the revenue, beach and parking fees to the Borough and generated at other establishments in Belmar !
Good question. Belmar sits between the towns of Avon and Spring Lake who seem to be doing quite well (revenue wise) without such an establishment. Landlords making most of the revenue. It would be worth investigating the pros and cons. Nothing lasts forever.

Why not put a community flower garden where D’Jais is?
Flowers are better than loud drunks vomiting all over town
I see where you are coming from but you loose the real estate tax.
#2 – Does the Real Estate taxes earned outweigh the cost of this establishment in Belmar? Wouldn’t homes generate more tax than this operation?
