Ha! My twin brother was never a highly successful mayor in Belmar. Just a crook who robbed from Peter to pay Paul!

Thanks for the starting point to scroll to. While beginning to eat my breakfast I became sick in 3 minutes of listening to this crap. Someone should clue in the narrator to the article ten other questions to ask about that the bag of S**T dirty Doherty left us with

The stupidity of the people that thought that not paying taxes was a present. Now,because you have to face reality you are hit with a tax increase of 23%. Well figure out the math. It is time to pay your bills. Don’t blame the new administration. It was dumped in their lap. Mr Jim Bean, did you have any thing to say when your taxes didn’t go up? No you liked it now pay the price.

Yes Maria as a matter of fact he did. And you know it. You accuse him of “liking” the past budgets? Wow.

Actually Maria, yes I did have something to say. Please read my palm card. I voted against the budgets because you can’t spend and borrow and end up at zero tax increases. Mayor Walsifer on the other hand could not foresee that. After two years as a councilman “It was dumped in their lap” doesn’t hold much water. Did he know about the $1 mil borrowed from the beach utility last year?

And I don’t like it now. That is why I am in the running. I’m really confused by your post.

Funny how you don’t criticize the republican candidate that supported the policies of no tax increases, but you attack me. 5 years ago, as I stood in your dining room, disappointed in myself for losing the Mayor’s race and letting everyone down, the “R” candidate you NOW support and stand by, was at Connolly Station celebrating Mayor Doherty’s victory. Yeaaa 4 more years of no tax increases.

Mrs Florio, I stood up to the corruption, and now you stand beside someone that facilitated it. Don’t hate me for moving forward.

PS: the pavilions that YOUR candidate also supported, still needs to be repaid. When that tax increase comes are you going to hate me again for not just swallowing them?

With all due respect, Ms. Florio, perhaps you should get your facts straight before you go accusing people of following along with the prior crooked admin., that in reality did not. And perhaps you should question those present M&C people that did vote for these crooked budgets in the past.

Let’s just focus on getting Jim Bean elected to the council as a first small step towards straightening our town out.

I predict that Jim Bean wins a council seat in Nov ’20. I also predict that sometime in early ’21 the bulk of the commentators on this blog turn on him. Some budget thing or a vote on a particular ordinance or he wears a flannel shirt to a meeting or whatever. It’s almost inevitable.

#10, Belmar Council elections are THIS NOVEMBER, not next. Please make sure you show up on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. If you cannot make it, please request an absentee ballot from the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office (requests for this election must be received by Oct. 29). Completed ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 5, 2019. 2019, not 2020. Say it with me, 2019.

There are two Mayor and Council meetings before election day, opportunities for candidates to speak during the public session. Their failure to appear would be an indication of future performance.
