You ADMIN should not have to find out anything. It’s the Monmouth County Prosecuters Office and the Office of the Attotney General who should be finding out what this is about.

I think she means applications for vote by mail. Just don’t like that bars are having so much influence on our elections in Belmar.

I think she means an application for a vote by mail ballot which would be perfectly legal. Just saying that this is what Jim has to overcome.

Actually I would think of Djais as a nightclub, they charge money for admittance through the door. A bar does not charge admission. Jacks tavern is a bar. Kelly’s is a bar. Djais is a nightclub. We have a nightclub trying to influence a local election.

The question here- is Djais putting pressure on their employees to do this ? Is there a monetary incentive ? Does the person who gets the most votes get the best shift ? If so, that’s terrible. The bigger question is why is a bar so involved in trying to get someone elected ? Could it be the year round liquor license ???

It is my understanding that D’Jais has the unlimited Barclay liquor license burning a hole in their pocket and they want to grease the political skids to advance their interests.

DJais liquor license is controlled by the council. They vote on it, holding them responsible for good and bad behavior. That is how the people hold liquor license establishment responsible. This process is now corrupted. The inmates are running the asylum. This is why Belmar has an ordinance that does not allow liquor license establishments to donate to any local politician.

To my south end neighbors, please do not buy into the miraculous Community Block Grant for Coastal Lakes that floated down from heaven just announced by the mayor one week before the election. THINK. Really? This funding is now being bestowed upon Belmar the chosen town, above all other towns, exactly what we wanted to hear. Although there likely will be a big announcement by Christie don’t believe it. Saying the money is “expected” and actually receiving it are two separate issues. Even if it’s promised by the Governor, many towns have been made promises since Sandy that have not been kept. I wish it were true, but it’s a political maneuver to garner votes. Remember if it seems too good to be true, it usually isn’t true. At least consider this, they haven’t given us enough time to actually check this funding out through the proper channels to see if it really exists. That is by design. Don’t be misled. If the funding is there for Lake Como, it will be there for Jim Bean as mayor to use also. THINK!

As a gift my road was just repaved for election day. I have new water lines for the same reason. My 1889 slate curb was destroyed and a portion of my brick sidewalk has been uprooted. Some of my neighbors have the same problem. In answer to guests question aside from the home owners repairing from Sandy and normal maintenance some areas are not so pleasant. We need a change. Go Jim & Mike.

The owners of Djais are very scared right now. They know that if Doherty isn’t re-elected, it could spell trouble for the next 4 years at Djais. We are talking earlier closing time, less occupancy which will result in less people renting in Belmar. The owners have had Doherty in their back pocket for the past 4 years which why they are allowed to get with murder.

You make it sound like Bean and Seebeck are anti business. Earlier closing time? Why? Why fewer rentals? People love Belmar. It is close to northern NJ , friendly , plenty of restaurants, etc. And the best is when Bean and Seebeck get elected Christie will have to crawl back and beg forgiveness..
