Just so we understand. This doesn’t include the 6 figure salary that Mike Campbell is getting from Belmar as a DPW director. I wonder how much he will make as a Public Safety Officer that was rumored. Must be nice.
What I dont’t understand is how was Mikes salary 3 times the amount of other workers there. How could he make 123k if the average employee makes 41k.

Should Mike not get paid by Belmar because he has a pension from his previous job??? Mike is getting paid by the town for the hard work he is doing now. What he gets from a previous job should not be anyone’s concern.

#5 What you don’t understand ..many people are unemployed and he should not double dip and give a younger person a chance to work. In the final analysis. NJ is broke and all this will come to an end real soon. Again #5 It’s all politics
#6, if the job called for actual hard work, that guy wouldn’t be anywhere near it.
Is that why he’s purple all the time or is it his pressure that’s going to pop?
What’s even more disturbing is the use of borough vehicles. I’ve seen family members in these vehicles late at night and outside of Belmar. Definitely not on official duty or work related. Add the cost of gas, insurance, and just normal wear and tear on these vehicles because that has value. Add that to their salaries and they have some gig.
11 What even more disturbing is Mr Campbell is big on that rule of use of Boro vehicles for personal use during or after work unless its him of course or one of his buddies from work.Ive seen Mr Campbell a hundred times during work hours down at the dog training park in Wall Township near Evans Area with his dog that he brings to the office everyday.So he’s using boro vehicle for personal use,doing personal things during hours he supposed to be working and using gas the boro pays for.And we see him all over in his Boro truck all the time as well as seeing the vehicles at homedepot in neptune at night,a and p in wall,even as far as Point Pleasant but I guess thats because chosen few can take thier trucks home at night.He loves to enforce the rules and law like the cop that he is,But he can do whatever he wants.And I promise you he does whatever he wants and helps himself to whatever he wants whenever he wants it and has his employees do it for him.

Let us not forget about the prior late or non-reporting of campaign contributions by Nicolay and two other people which were subject to large fines. Did that magically go away? Did a mysterious donor pay the fines for them? I do not have a short memory, like regarding the poor or no accounting of $10,000 worth of Shoprite gift cards that “disappeared.”
Don’t forget. The truck that Mike Campbell uses is Franny Hines old truck. Franny Hines got a new truck because he said that the old truck was ruined in the Sandy Storm. So after Mr. Hines got his new truck some how the old truck was good enough to drive and Mr. Campbell took it.
The dog you speak of is the dog that is the geese police after cam passed that is why the dog is at work or the lake or at the park. By the way there is no charge to the town for this service

#16 that is not true. The dog that mike bought is his dog. With his money. You might see him walking the dog around the lake thats because he lives a block away from the lake.
He was also seen at the dog park in wall (only for wall residents) playing with his dog at around 11 oclock while on boro time. So you say it doesnt cost belmar anything but belmar was paying mike to train his dog in wall. Plus mike has a employee walk his dog during work hours. I didnt know that was in the job description

My penny’s worth today: Benjamin Franklin wrote Poor Richard’s Almanac under the pseudonym Richard Saunders. What is wrong with speaking truth, relaying information and exposing wrongdoing under a false name? Making a jerk of oneself under one’s actual name is a service to all, as people will know who he/she is and can say, “Oh, that is so and so, the dumbass or troublemaker,” and stay away from him/her. On the other hand, giving a sarcastic jab to someone pseudonymously is OK, in my opinion, as sometimes no one else has the nerve to do so and the object of the jab will just continue being a jerk or whatever otherwise, thinking he is just a wonderful and righteous person. Meanness for the sake of meanness is nasty, pointless and maybe hurtful. Also, a bit of boasting under an actual name is OK, giving the ego a boost, perhaps, or effective for resume building. I am not pointing out any specific individuals here, by the way, so no one gets his/her undies in a knot and comes back at old-fake-name-me.
23 Although I think many people agree with you and this post.Unfortunately many of us post under a false name because of fear of retaliation.I know and have learned first hand what happens when you stand up and come forth with actual facts about wrong doings in this town,they shut you down and they will make your life miserable.And in my case even more extreme measure.So all I am saying is its not always because some people on here are cowards or trouble makers and liars.I think we all know how the system and the people that run our town work.

Also unlike, many of the anonymous posters, I do not look to embarrass anyone, nor would I ever stoop so low as to cause physical damage to their property. The reason I would talk with the individual is to answer his questions about my pension, and show that individual what they missed in the information provided. If you #20 Voter would like I will give the explanation to you personally and you may relay it.
Sir, you are correct about public employees also being taxpayers. However, it is the tax dollars of the privately employed that count more in the equation. Without the privately earned tax dollar, the tax dollar of the public employee doesn’t exist. There are always public employees, but once the public employee becomes a burden to the taxpayers at large, it will drive out that tax base as we see happening today. Therein lies the problem. We can no longer the salaries and pensions of the ever increasing public servants.

As I’ve said before, public employees are not the only fiscal problem facing the taxpayers. That element of the New Jersey population (welfare recipients) who do no work and have never worked and never will work is also increasing beyond the capacity of our taxpayers to support.
