More tax payer money down a rat hole
spending $42M to reach a 9M NJ population is $4.66 per capita …. these people aren’t addicted to opioids …. they are hooked on politics
To be fair, the 40 million includes buying air time.
#1 – Exactly – The whole “opioid crisis” is a crock from start to finish in my opinion. Just another way for more useless people to seem important.
#1 it is not at all a crock. Ask cops or court what cost to NJ taxpayers because of this epidemic.
35 – Why would I ask them? It’s in their interest not to change things. What you’re seeing is a demoralization of people brought on I think by this new mode of living. It just manifests itself with this supposed drug epidemic/malaise. But the real problem is as I said, this concept of living life cut off from both people in general (through out of control use of gagets/computers) and shutting themselves off from the physical world surrounding them. People have called me old and they are correct, but with age I’ve had many experiences and seen a lot of things but I never knew in my last years I would see the most fascinating time of my life which is watching people make these incredible mistakes and then to remedy their latest mistake, they do something even worse, making their situation more precarious – simply fascinating to watch.
#5 Let’s declare war on Opioids like Johnson did on drugs. Uh we lost that war. We need a different approach. Ask the cops about “alcohol” abuse also.
The British brought opium to China in the 19th century to increase their coolie slave trade.
Now, China brings fentanyl to the world to get even.
The opioid issue was and is about race. Until recently, addiction was predominately among the blacks and our politicians didn’t care (watch The Godfather).
