Only Harvey?

I would think that all beach towns, including Belmar, were doing at least some amount of evening patrols.

Yes, yes, YES! Beach Utility Trust Fund monies for the Public Trust should be properly administered and this example is the way to go. RIP TIDE warnings all over the News.

What’s sad is the hundreds of thousands of dollars in beach utility reserves and there were no beach patrols due to the borough not charging people to be on the beach. This short sighted practice has gone on for years and now must end.

Lower the age for free admission. Start charging for kids 13 and over. If Belmar is so great up the price to $9/day. Also raise the season badge for seniors to $25.00 not $15.00. Raise the adult badges to $60.00/year…Raise and spend the money on after hour beach patrols. The mayor wants it both ways. Cheap for middle class families. Verbal diarrhea

Yes, rope lines are needed. And kids should be required to use a noodle to aid flotation. They are $1 at dollar tree. They will help save lives
