A deplorable “crime” in Belmar is the hoodwinking of residents about the Taylor Pavilion use and the misappropriation of Buy a Board donations to pay for it. This too is personal, although not a direct attack upon an individual like a sex crime.
This article makes the reader wonder when the accusations were first made …. 3+ years is a long time for justice
#1-I can’t believe what I’m reading. Mentioning what you think to be crimes in Belmar with the sexual assault of a child?? Very distorted thinking…unbelievably off-base . .Shouldn’t be stated in the same breath. The comparison shows little understanding or compassion for sexual assault of a minor . The lengths some people will go th bring up perceived negativity about the borough.
Right on cue. I was waiting for some mayor groupie to say what #3 said. Two “crimes”, separate, but both in Belmar. Nothing is distorted. All the accusers are springing
out of the woodwork. Racketeering is a crime, and to be charged with it is a strike against someone’s character, whether found guilty or not. Accuse me of being objective.
#4-No mayor groupie here. No one could ever think that violation of a child is on par with borough issues.
#1-could be my friend. they’re both federal crimes.
Alleged violation – read the article. The Pavilion hoodwink is clear, unless one’s bias clouds understanding. I guess if I got what I wanted in a deal, I may not care if anyone else was duped. (But I would care, after all, isn’t common good at issue, not personal satisfaction and compensation, monetary or otherwise?) And certainly no one should be sexually molested.
#7-You still don’t get it.
#7- The person was charged and arrested. The word alleged is used because he hasn’t gone to trial. No verdict as yet.
To this point he’s been arrested and charged. That’s pretty telling. Thiscomes directly from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Why are you attempting to minimize the crime against children so that it equates to perceived borough situations? ?The person is “being held pending trial.” Take your own advice-read the article.
Belmar is loaded with people like #7… they just dont get it…. It makes the town look really bad… And #7… before you say anything, I dont like the mayor, I am a conservative….
What? Comparing crimes against young girls with borough stuff? This makes no sense.# 7,
your thoughts are way off base.
Prayers to the children.
Prayers for the mayor so he behaves ethically.
Watchman-Prayers for you so that your off-beat, inappropriate, single-minded thinking will change.
How many registered sex offenders reside in Belmar? Have a look and you may be surprised.
Comparing apples and oranges? Preferring one over the other is legitimate and does not invalidate the less preferred one. I prefer to wave my own flag, so to speak.
What’s preference got to do with this? You prefer complaining about the borough as opposed to taking a stand against child abusers?? You’d rather take a stand against the borough? Your comments make no sense. Apples and oranges doesn’t apply here.
Logic cannot compete with emotionalism.
Logic? Emotionalism? Your comments are illogical. Logic says child abuse isn’t in the same category as borough business. Far more serious are matters of child abuse/endangerment.
#17-In a way you’re right. People rightfully get emotional, upset, irate, disgusted, and sad when a child is sexually abused. These are apt emotions for such horrific, unspeakable crimes. There’s no place for logic.
