John Bonevich from D’Jais owns Your Target Marketing, which currently has the (no bid) contract for the Borough’s website.
One change I would like to see is to allow the minutes to be searchable from the search box. Since they are in PDF the search function doesn’t look there.
Website stinks ! Is there any reason why we can’t pay our taxes or water/sewer online ?! I’d even like to see on-line beach badge sales.
Website is not used friendly in any way, shape or form. It’s not even intuitive.
That said the entire Boro should make its way into the 21st century now, 18 years is long in the tooth.
Paper can be fudged, transposed and finagled. Oh wait that’s why, 2 sets of books, many separate systems, no integration is fishy = stinks!
Finally the other council members listened to Mark WALSIFER. He’s recognized the ineffective, redundancy of bookkeeping throughout the Borough and has repeatedly lobbied for the council to upgrade the entire borough so there will be smooth operations for the entire public, tourism, police, legal well, all departments. A true Multi-user, interactive system that is super sophisticated but yet monkey easy. Thanks WALSIFER.
Belmar Website looks like a 3rd grader created it.Doesnt function well and looks very outdated
Why didn’t the BA and Mayor Magoo tell the other council members that online payments were being implemented in the new year? Isn’t that something council should be aware of? Instead of Magoo admonishing them for not asking the BA if anything was going on? What else does the BA know that the council doesn’t?
P.S. The website is indeed HORRIFIC. Thank you to the BBA for their recommendations and trying to do something to bring Belmar out of the Stone Age.
Gee, there must be a Belmar election day in coming up. All the “candy” the mayor has been holding out on(even if he/she stole the solutions from WALSIFER) are now suddenly appearing, coincidentally right before Election Day. Promises, Promises was a play remember and the Pope’s Catholic, etc. Amazing that Brian thinks that Belmar voters are still suckers.
Colleen & Mr Magoo have got to go. They’re running amuck with no consequences. Are ya kidding me? Drain The Swamp.
Just because Brian said online payments are being implemented doesn’t mean it will happen. And as for him trying to humiliate the council members, that was terrible!! I guess Colleen is teaching him how to be a bully. Is anyone talking about fixing the roof on boro hall or getting rid of the mold? Or fixing the street lights from 10th Ave to 5th? If they can’t even treat the boro employees with just the smallest bit of respect, how can they possibly do right by the whole town??
…doesn’t have a humble bone in his body. When Mr. Levis asked about the Parks ordinance, he noted that it should say members of the advisory board should be residents. Instead of saying “Oh, right, good catch” he said “Isn’t that implied?” We can’t trust this guy to cross Ts and dot Is AND we can’t trust that he’ll put ego aside when others alert him to ANYTHING that needs attention. His ego over a little thing like that is partly why he admonished Levis. ALSO note – Levis didn’t seem to thrilled about keeping Colleen in the loop about every decision the advisory board makes. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d vote to fire her, and that he’d vote Walsifer! MaGovern is both a dotard and a megalomaniac. Very bad combo. Vote Walsifer.
I may have missed this somewhere but has Mark actually said anything about getting rid of Colleen? Many people seem to be tying Brian to her but I’m not sure that anything changes no matter who we vote in. Neither Mark nor Brian hired her as BA. Not sure what would go into dismissing that level of Boro employee but I imagine it’s not as simple as telling her to pack her Taylor Pavillion calendar book and get out.

#11 No, but if you watch the council meeting tape you’ll see Mark Levis does NOT want Colleen involved in even knowing what the newly formed Parks advisory board decides. I think he’s on to her. I think he’s fed up with Mayor Magoo too.
#11…The boro administrator is appointed by the mayor. If Brian wins, he will keep Colleen right where she is, and the destruction will continue. I have always voted Democrat, but I am voting for Mark Walsifer. It seems like he is the only candidate who will make the necessary changes.
Maybe he’ll make her CFO and BA like Robbin was under Pringle.
Anybody breathing oxygen knows that Councilman Walsifer doesn’t need or want diviseive, not credible Colleen, col, etc for any employment position that’s paid by taxpayers. Discussing employees in Public, oUT of closed sessions is a big no no. # 11 and company know that.
I know for a fact Walsifer will drain and clean the swamp if elected. He told me this personally. Colleen is first to go, then cleansing of our police department and public works. And that’s only the beginning.
Did anyone even mention the cost difference between what Belamr pays annually vs other mentioned towns for website??? The presentation showed other towns paying 1400 to 5000 annually and we pay 13000????
Let’s revisit AI conversion of Borough Hall, which, by the way, is absolutely what Walsifer has been begging for, until after the Belmar SWAMP is drained after Election Day. His the conversion out!
I want nothing recommended by Cooleen to follow this conversion. She’s not credible with a big C.
