A Good Start, But Why Only 5%?

Currently, the school portion of our property tax is about 41%.  The town’s is about 36% and the county’s about 23%.

All Board of EDUCATION members should immediately publicize their individual position(s) on this proposed bill. The municipal portion of your bill doesn’t include the BOE bill so there is no incentive for our Administration to conservatively engage PILOT negotiations with developers who will burden taxpayers with housing demands that will increase the Board of Education Tax rate while artificially expounding from the roof tops: NO tax increases in 7 years on Belmar, praise me, praise me. He who is a sham merchant should not be obeyed. Your inclusive real TAX BILL will appear in August. Keep that bill in mind on Election Day in November, 2017. The Sham is on people. Don’t fall for it.

Aileen, here is a bill you should support and advocate with the rest of your board that they start contacting school bd assoc and other bd members that you know in other towns. Mr Brennan may be so conflicted on this that he will find it necessary to spin into the ground but he also should support it as should Brian. The mayor will no doubt be doing his best to put the political brick sack on it.

Aileen, you go girl, we have your back. What’s the worse thing that could happen? Our taxes will go up?

It doesn’t matter how much money the BOE’s get, they’ll still raise their spending as much as they can.

I’m working on it. Thanks. Wish it was more, but at least it’s something.

Aileen, instead of wishing perhaps you should contact the sponsor and some of the members of the Assembly [Rible for example] and express your support, request a higher percentage that would be more meaningful and ask if there is anything you can do to help push the bill into law. The sponsor is a Hudson county dem so you have a foot in the door just don’t let our mayor cut that foot off.

#7 – Yeah, sure – “it’s for the children.” If anyone still believes that, I’ve a great bridge to sell them. I’ll make them an excellent deal.
