Does the petition that was returned by Colleen have to be re-introduced or recognized at this meeting, by order of Judge Gummer? I want to witness the dumb look on Alfred’s face.

How about a resolution that says clearly and plainly that the Taylor/Fifth Avenue Pavilion will be free, that is, at no cost to Belmar taxpayers, not free, as in there being no charge to enter the premises, less anyone be confused.

We will pay everything for the pavilions, no FEMA money that is why there are no FEMA records available. Now we have our first “change order” hold on it’s about to start.

Change order is actually a $44,000 reduction.

Instead of using all spec concrete-filled steel piles @ 5th Avenue …. Epic is substituting timber piles …. and throwing Belmar a bone – $44K.
    Unfortunately, timber piles are combustible.

#3, the pavilions were never going to be “free”. Everyone, including Doherty, knew this. We’ll now be stuck with overpriced, ugly ass buildings that will look out of place. It was all about getting money to the unions and Epic. You can thank all the dummies here in Belmar who voted “yes” to bond for these buildings. By the way, wait until you see how big and stupid these things look when done.

People who live along the ocean front have gotten accustomed to a clear, unobstructed view of the ocean for three and a half years. Now some of that lovely view will be blocked by the new buildings. Perhaps that fact will hit home with Mr. Magovern who lives near the ocean. But of course he will not at all be disappointed. No one believed that the Taylor/5th Avenue Pavilion would be free, only idiots.

Here we go again with the change orders. You pay Maser $1M and then change everything they designed. $44k bone for Belmar?, How much of a bone is going into Matt’s pocket?

#14. Sorry you missed Janis-whatever-Blackburn’s Letter to Editor ( Council woman running for re_election ,who lives in the block furthest from the ocean ) : “I am HOPING that once the building ( Taylor Pavilion )is finished and the many activities are again taking place, that all of that ( differences of opinions ) will be behind us…. ” I hope that each of us in Belmar can put the ANGER behind us.” That is easy to say, since the only thing behind Janis is Route 35 and Wall Twp.

17: candidate JmcW’s weak attempt at proselytizing falls flat on its face. First really experience living in “chaos Belmar” bailing out your basement and then maybe there would be some respect for mere attempts at looking conciliatory singing “why can’t we be friends”. Listen to FU Tony 100 x an hour in front of children and the vulnerable. Clean up the garbage, puke and urine stench off your property in the morning. Once they actually deliver on the projectile vomited campaign promises we were fed from the dias maybe then we might believe in something, anything from Belmar Council members again.
