    #3, the pavilions were never going to be “free”. Everyone, including Doherty, knew this. We’ll now be stuck with overpriced, ugly ass buildings that will look out of place.     People who live along the ocean front have gotten accustomed to a clear, unobstructed view of the ocean for three and a half years. Now some of that lovely view will be blocked by the new buildings. Perhaps that fact will hit home with Mr. Magovern who lives near the ocean. But of course he will not at all be disappointed. No one believed that the Taylor/5th Avenue Pavilion would be free, only idiots.
