Will the haters retract their vitriol? I doubt it
Some of the comments about the accident
are heartless and cruel…reflects on the mindset of the individual(s).
Sarcasm has its place, even used as humor. Some people do not belong on the road, as drivers and even as pedestrians. Are either of those statements heartless or cruel? Perception applies to everyone, except the braindead. Oops, braindead could imply stupidity. Was that cruel? Bad things are happening, and they cannot be prevented, lessened perhaps, and some people will always get their backs up or noses tweaked on an open forum of comments. I feel bad about the squirrels run over by vehicles.

#3. What is lacking in society is respect, empathy,and compassion especially after someone is thrown 22 feet….fighting for her life. There is a time and place for sarasm and humor. To demean or belittle ones misfortune is inhumane.
#5 That is true, but I cannot find that any one did that. Again, my perception is just that, my perception. Perhaps I am less sensitive than some, but I doubt it. Suffering is part of life, and that fact must be accepted. Open and emotional grieving at funerals, for example, is therapeutic in many cultures and has a healing result usually. We all need healing, and acceptance instead of blaming and shaming others really goes nowhere and can create unnecessary animosity. There will always be people who hurt others, something beyond our control. How one deals with that fact is what should be examined.
