As part of the volunteer friendship force at the beach this year I found MOST people very nice and very excited just to be out and about. I go to 14th ave beach which is always busy and crowded because we have a handicap mat and are a boogey board beach. This year it was actually better because are people spread out where normally we are all squished together
Over all I believe Belmar did a great job handling this unprecedented situation.

Katrina you are a truth teller since I first met you. Total trust in your considered Judgment. COVID-19 was an is a trial for all walks of life and considering the influx of people excaping to fresh air venues such as Belmar, we did damn good.

Gotta give the Mayor and Borough Staff their props here – Mayor Walsifer put together a very thorough Beach opening plan that was approved by Gov Murphy – while other surrounding towns tried to make it difficult for visitors to come to the Shore – Belmar welcomed them at a time when there was nowhere to go and nothing to do – and it paid off with a great Summer for our Beach Utility and all of our local restaurants and businesses – Thanks Mark

Share the surplus with the workers -they deserve a BIG FAT BONUS!!! If it wasn’t for their dedication and hard work we wouldn’t have had a successful summer. If you know anyone who worked on the beach then you would know the stress they endured to carry out the Mayors plan. It came at a cost. So Mayor, do the right thing and reward these employees.
