Ban The Ball!

Found on the street in Belmar:

Luckily my reader got to it before it blew over to a whale.

I have felt for a while that since Belmar means “Beautiful Sea” that we should take the high road and lead by example with regards to not polluting the sea. I think that at the least there should be workers (funded by a fee to businesses in town) that walk the beach and pick up after the out of town animals that use the beach as a trash bin….the workers can wear shirts that advertise the businesses. It is just a small step to prevent some trash going in to the water…

Don’t tell me the few tree huggers that supported that creep didn’t pick up their own sign pollution?

The unwritten rule is that within 24 hours support staff removes signage unless a property owner wants to telegraph their support year round.

Expect more trash from the wizard …. the recent redevelopment plan expansion encourages retail impulse sales …. like balloons.
Looks like Family Dollar installed a large helium tank behind the store …. the mylar material may last forever.

While the council is up to banning things, why not ban condoms, as they wash up occasionally and could be swallowed by fish and seabirds. “Sonny, put that down, it is not a balloon.” Or use them to carry items from the drug store, like chapstick, toothbrushes, etc., instead of using plastic bags. They can be fashioned into sling shots to chase the free range cats who may carry rabies. Heck, who is creative around here.
