Perhaps Cruz Bay can pitch in the clean up costs similar to DJais paying for police?

Labor Day weekend is just around the corner and the mayhem from the outdoor DJ’s at Bar A will surely disturb all again that entire weekend. Please remember Lake Como Mayor Brian Wilton and Belmar Councilman Tom Brennan this November for allowing for our sleepless nights and not preventing all of the noise and chaos that emanates from this bar.

Maybe Wilton is spending a million dollars to move further away from Bar A so he doesn’t have to hear the noise and put up with drunks with the unrestricted special events he allows Bar A to have. What a joke of a Mayor he is, only cares about his political aspirations and what Matt tells him to do.

Pictures like this are generally taken prove some point. But I haven’t figure out what that point is, yet.

We don’t know if it was taken at 9 am, 12 noon or 5 o’clock in the afternoon. We also don’t know if the garbage buggy was about to pull up to the trash.

It only shows that people are using the garbage cans and maybe there should be more of them.

I can remember when McDonald’s was in the 12th Avenue pavilion and their garbage could be identified. There wasn’t any more garbage but some of it had McDonald’s name on it.

Judging from where the shadows are it was late afternoon. Probably the photographer was leaving the beach to head back home.

One has to wonder why all the other business on Ocean Ave are required to have dumpsters and Cruz Bay doesn’t even have garbage cans ? The just put the garbage to the curb in plastic bags ?

Have always said that they should implement a tax / fee to any business in town that allows carry-out / take away food, and then use that money to pay kids to walk the beach picking up trash…even have them wear t-shirts with the business names as adverts…

too many people & too much trash. Even when they use the cans, it over flows, the trash-gulls pull it apart, it blows away and ends up in the water…

Ultimately, the ordinance prohibiting selling stuff on the beach should be enforced. Lack of enforcement of (some of) the borough’s codes is the problem.

Bar “A” has a morning garbage crew. They employ several local teens who pick up all garbage in a 2-3 block area.

Dont have garbage cans on the beaches, and make all beach goers remove thier own mess. Have the police enforce this removal policy.

#4 and #5 The Mayor will still hear Bar A even on 19th Ave. No getting away from that noise pollution! As far as a variance goes, no need for one, after all he is the Mayor, right?!! He already tried to turn his new street into a one-way for his own advantage, which ticked off his new neighbors. Not a good way to enter a new neighborhood, even if you are the Mayor!

The builder for the 19th Ave property is also the seller. He’s the one who would have needed to get a variance (if needed).

Switching the one way sign was a push from some of your neighbors (who may even be posting – anonymously of course – on this blog). It wasn’t suggested by the mayor, and it was passed by the council. Not really something you can pin on Wilton.

I’m just saying that if the trash was generic and without a Cruz Bay stamp to who would you complain?

Pictures like the one posted are posted to illicit a response like yours.

The trash was placed in a garbage can of which most of the beaches could use more.

Oh, and btw you have no idea who I am and who I vote for. You’d be surprised. Please move on.

What would Belmar’s mayor say? “If you don’t like it at our beach, don’t go there. You know what you are getting into.” Sound familiar? Apparently enough people don’t mind the mess and like being waited on by Cruz Bay staff, just like a restaurant!

#20 I didn’t say it came from CRUZ BAY. We have DPW people and this garbage overflow should not happen. The DPW director makes enough money to help in emergencies. And don’t tell me what to do. The only person who could tell me that is dead. BTW I don’t care who the hell you are or aren’t.

Avon’s DPW picks up Beach recycling constantly. Maybe because their DPW Director actually did the work for years and knows the job(s) intimately like Muerle and McCormick did in their day.

Like the ancients, one had to learn each facet of a job before progressing to the next level in order to eventually lead.
