Still trying to figure out who got (or didn’t get) permission to land that helicopter in Silver Lake Park.
What we do know is that the romantic individual involved is named Leo.
When I provided this clue in a string of comments on the story, an anonymous commenter, using the name “The Insider”, came up with the name “Leo Ayala”.
I don’t know anything about a Leo Ayala owning Benny Burger or being a bartender at Bar A, but I do know about this Leo Ayala:
Because he recently contributed $2500 to the Doherty for Freeholder campaign:
So that’s what I know. Anyone out there have any more information about this? If so, please comment.

How ironic, another Leo pushing Green innovations yet jets around on personal business with a helicopter. Do as I say not as I do.
Maybe it was Dicaprio
I do know who to ask but i know lips are sealed. I doubt a flight plan was filed, so unless someone spills the beans it will be a mystery.
Well if Mayor Matt or the Chief didn’t give permission, then it should be investigated and someone be prosecuted. I would say that the Borough of Belmar is a victim (as a landing pad). If “Leo” can get away with it then anyone else can do the same thing at anytime they want too. No? It’s a “free for all” in Belmar!
Another Information Bullseye – Thank You Dave.
If that is the person, we have a literal incidence of “pay to PLAY”.
Are they blaming their failure to file a flight plan with landing authorization on Kenny? The dark knight give Kenny credit for everything in Belmar, of course Kenny had being credited with reforming and advancing the borough forward luring post 9/11 residents to purchase homes here. The current Belmar administration is making a U TURN to get the good, ol’ days (boy were they horrid) back as long as it’s NIMBY though,
It appears to have been done legally under special circumstances.
Don’t hate this MAN for bringin DA GREEN. to da partay. Colorado to Belmar sticky icky GREEN ooh wee yaya.
