Silently applauding the passionately involved residents of Brick for their outspoken rage at their mayor’s plan to turn over part of a precious public park to Chef’s for development. Here in Belmar we still don’t know the full scope of environmental and recreational damage Mayor Doherty’s deal with Chef’s will do to our marina and Maclearie Park. So sad .. no, infuriating.

So, who is watching DEP? To whom are they accountable, excluding the mayor, possibly? Just speculating, of course. Don’t say, “This is New Jersey,” and expect and condone the worst as a matter of course. Crap flows downhill. I am disappointed in the authorities.

Boycotting talks – hit them in the wallet. I will not pass the thresholds of certain establishments.
