The south channel boat traffic is already bad. I don’t understand the logistics of having a ferry in the SRI and there are too many bad weather days on the open ocean. Spells disaster and/or waste of money

Well, if this goes through we are no longer the Borough of Belmar, we are the City of Belmar. It’s a shame.

Terrible plan and I agree with #1, a ferry service will never happen.

This plan is too big, too ambitious for Belmar.

So Belmar puts out an RFP for a municipal complex and the proposal doesn’t include a municipal complex and simply suggests it could possibly move to 16th Ave.
Wow – why are we even looking at this RFP?
Repair the municipal complex and let’s get our council to focus on driving down the towns spiraling debt.
We have 3 catering halls within 1.4 sq. miles and don’t need a fourth for weddings as was offered in the presentation.
Belmar will be a city if the ferries and apartment buildings are built.
Those types or redevelopment are too urban and are better suited to Asbury and Long Branch.
Let’s refocus our council back to putting the emphasis on building single family homes akin to our bordering towns of Avon and Spring Lake.

How about fixing/paving all the pothole ridden streets, the flooding problems,
improve traffic flow on 5th, 8th, 10th, and 16th Avenues, etc. It is the “little” repairs that will improve the quality of life for Belmar residents. STOP URBANIZATION
    NOW!

#8- Apparently Wally and his crew are not in-tune with what Belmars’ needs really are. Vote them out before out debt hits $50M. And why should it be a surprise when you elect rich people that live on Inlet Terr. or Ocean Blvd. that have an unlimited cash source to pay for property tax increases. Vote for someone that lives on Pinetree or somewhere else over there that lives on a fixed income.

On Inlet Terrace or Ocean Ave there are no worries about a 4 story box of condos going up across the street.

#10——- since your pointing your fingers and have your judgment cap on, you may want to reference a correct road it’s ocean avenue, not Blvd. accuracy is key stay focused

And most of the council members live in more modest homes. Only Walsifer is on Ocean Ave.
